Given that, with the exception of that one Spikeweed, you never planted any plants in the rightmost column *nor any plants that could damage zombies while in that column,* I think you'd have been better off setting up your defensive line one column further right. Then you could have used the 3rd column for a second-line to catch things like that pole-vault zombie. (Or, alternatively, not used it and made this a 'can only plant in the last _2_ columns' challenge.)

Beat the game only using plants that can target multiple lanes. (for example: 3 peater is allowed, but not peashooter, since it can target only one lane. Starfruit, cattail, etc are all allowed. Gloomshroom is NOT allowed since it needs fumeshroom which is a one-lane plant.)

You are forgetting the fact that you only get cherry bomb as a multiple lane plant until level 3 and before that is impossible but even if you did the earlier levels the recharge is too slow to be able to survive and the first shooter type plant that hits multiple lanes is the threepeater you mentioned but it’s unlocked until world 3-3 so it would be impossible.

In theory, the two lane gloom model could have worked if the garlic were placed all the way out in the final column, giving you space for 4 gloom shrooms. You could add 1 star fruit in a pumpkin between them to pile on fire power going up and down. This would still allow for 1 layer of spikes in columns 1 and 5, and leave open spaces for one offs like cherry bombs and squash.

I have 4 ideas of chalenge, Pick 1 Easy: You can Only Plant from the first 5 columns/lane Medium: You can Only Plant 20 Plants (If a Plant is Shoveled, used {Potato Mines, Cherry bombs} or eaten you can plant more as a replacement like in PvZ 2) Hard: You cannot lose more than 5 Plants (Insta doesn't count) Extreme: You cannot lose more than 3 plants (insta counts) and end level with at least 500 Sun (Must Play on Normal, If not it will almost be IMPOSSIBLE)

Lights out challenge: Fog level hard, must have at least 2 or more planterns planted to clear the fog (take your time in trying to plant it but by the time you reach flag 4th or 5th you must already have the planterns or you lose at flag 6), if succesfully planted, make sure you must defend it, if any of your plantern dies you lose.
