Cool song. Also Staind is more on the post-grunge with a country music style vibe. Like Nickleback, Puddle of Mudd groups like that. '90s, '00s, '00s. So it is an evolution of grunge. Hipsters? Those grungy heavy distorted guitars might scare them away . lol. They may listen to this as guilty pleasure. But, you'll most likely find them listening to Indie rock, jazzy Alternative hip hop, jazzy music, folk music, soft acoustic music or light distorted guitar indie rock, alternative music, electronic sounding dance music. Eating organic food at a park somewhere next to their bikes or colorful vehicle. Enjoying a coffee latte, pretzels, sandwich at Starbucks reading books or on their tablets. . Or buying things at a thrift store. They are a happy bunch and loves peace. All of this is almost the opposite of grunge/post grunge lol. You'll most likely find a hipster who loves indie rock /pop stuff like Modest Mouse, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Capital Cities than post grunge. I know a lot of hipsters.

Absolute must for Staind: Mudshovel, Outside, and So Far Away. Hipsters are about joining and social interaction. Everything else is done ironically. Retro clothing, well-manicured, cheap beer, fixie bikes, and their music is inconsequential, think ukeleles and drums. Everything ID'd as hipster is really just a vessel for social interaction, concerts, coffee shops, etc. The music isn't going to drown out their conversations.

Staind is a Journey. Aaron Lewis has his soul in his voice. He can make you feel every word he writes. It's a journey as their first album "Tormented" he doesn't know what's wrong, second album he knows what's wrong but has no idea how to fix it, third album he is finding his way out, 4th album is some reflection...that is how the first three albums were described by Aaron Lewis. I came up with the Reflections in the 4th album as that's how I'm remembering "14 Shades of Gray". Dive into more!

Every time I hear this song, it always reminds me of a friend I had who took his life during a hard time. He was the only one who understood me after I had moved and we became close friends, still haven't come across someone the same way since and it still hits just as hard now.

"My boots are dusty but it's not cause I bought em at a thrift store, it's because i worked in my boots" shows you already understand Arron lewis and Stained better then 50% of their fans.

Absolutely one of those bands got millions through the toughest places in life. Plenty of nights I would consider self deletion in my young adult years, and their music and a few other bands help grieve and let it go. They help keep me alive like millions of others.

That was by far Brad's best comment! Dusty boots from my hard work not buying them after someone else put in the work to make them look like that. Good one Brad! There's hope for you yet. Just playin', keep it up ya'll, it's fun watching you to getting excited about the music and genres I grew up on. Kinda makes me feel almost young again lol

This is one of those songs when I hear it, I get taken back to where I was, and what I was doing at that time. About 23 years ago I was waiting at the Anacortes Ferry terminal waiting to head to Victoria BC to play in a baseball tournament. One of our assistant coaches was bumping this CD in his Honda while waiting in the line. That's all folks!
