to be fair there are multiple translations of it in Lovecraft lore. it wouldnt be too ridiculous to think at one point someone wouldve digitalized its contents after getting a hold of it.

shadowboy0126 I just checked lovecraft wiki. There is no "batheltholerain" or any variation with that pronunciation in the lore. I'm just bothered at how cheap the win is. It's like "joke's on you! I have total power over you because I read a necronomicon while searching for stomach pain and hallucinations!". She may do a lot of research, but she also didn't have much time to do it, it was basically dumb luck. This story took no wit or skill to write, and it shows.

shadowboy0126 I'm not trying to be critical. I just find the story bad. I'm just trying to show you why I dislike it. I like horror stories that try to be scary. This wanted to be a mystery with a genius MC, but it wasn't. If it was an okay horror, I would like it. If the mc was actually well written, I would like it. But neither of those things are true. I like lots of decent horror stories. This had about 1 minute that could have been considered creepy.

Ooh, I'm so excited for this story! I find any story having to do with water particularly terrifying, and you always narrate so well. I usually get distracted by other things when listening to stories, but you keep my attention, which I love. Thanks for all your hard work! The story went from meh to whoa. She was pissed at her mind and spirit being attacked. The Cthulu lie would have sucked in another story but knowing the mythos the well versed reader knew it was a lie or a trap.. Insect demon messed with the wrong chica.
