IAM a 56 year old Grandma who became disabled in 1998 much to my dismay. Like you I traveled a lot in my youth. So I envy but enjoy your channel so so much. I absolutely love how you treat us all the same. Some people I started watching became all about money and patreon. Anyway I deeply appreciate that you have never done that. I don't know anyone that wanted to be disabled. A drunk driver did that to me. Anyway not sure why I am Tell you all this. I love 70 degrees, its perfect. In 2008 I worked on a wildland fire in Weed, CA and it was close to 100 degrees every day for two weeks, then I had two days off and stayed for another two weeks. On R&R, I went to the coast for two days. It was like I stepped into heaven. It had the perfect temperature and I wasn't in the smoke any longer. I felt like I had entered heaven when I arrived in Trinidad, CA. I fell in love with the place. I had returned again in 2019 on another fire assignment.

It you're this nostalgic when so young, imagine revisiting these places in another 40 years. For having gotten so much wiser in 2 years, imagine what you'll be like later in life. The same thing goes regarding many, many things. Even love life, regarding both who you choose to be with, and how much experience, and how good an attitude you both have. I find it hilarious when young lovers both think each other is amazing and irreplaceable, when they're probably just giving enough to see what they can take, what good times they can have without much effort, without even figuring the other person out and making their life better in other ways. Improving with age, and learning how to surround yourself with happy people and make them even happier, is natural for some people and impossible for others. Getting great at work or play, in mind/body/spirit, is not a sure thing, you have to actually pay attention and do some thinking to learn and grow. You, Alyssa, are doing a great job of that, from what I can see. I once heard a boss explaining why he never chose a particular guy to do anything complicated that required thinking. He said, some people have 20 years experience. Some people have 1 year experience that they've gone through the motions and repeated 20 times. The guy was fine at doing what he learned early on, but had no interest in continually expanding his skills. He was lucky they still needed him to do the same stuff, because adapting and learning was not his thing. Usually life is 2 steps forward and 1 back. Sometimes no steps forward and 2 back. May most of your steps be forward, and every year of your life unique and different.

It’s really difficult to find people that you connect with and that don’t drain you emotionally as an introvert. I push myself to have at least one social outing with a friend during a set time period. I think it’s helpful for our mental health ☺️

I absolutely LOATHE mosquitoes. It never fails, they seek me out and mess me up lol. And I'm low key allergic to their bites so I get itchy red welts! Hearing you say your heart is yelling you to keep driving makes my heart so happy. I drove and lived in my suv years ago and my heart told me to keep going as well and I saw so many beautiful things. Welp, I'm going through nearly the same trials and tribulations to getting to my van life destiny. After a 2 wk car excursion back in January, mostly in southern Cali (Palm Springs, Joshua Tree, then LA and then San Francisco for the 1st time!) on the way back my car totally died & then I lost it cuz I (idiot) had a title loan on it & couldn't pay it after that (no job due to doing delivery & now no car working) and have been stuck ever since w/no job. So, I"m sitting here STILL in 115 degrees living in a place w/out good insulation...having to wait until November to hopefully get another vehicle (1st van) to start my journey...so girl...I know EXACTLY what you went through...but, I could have NEVER handled the heat in that van! NO WAY!
