I do the exact same, when I work away from my home town. I visit the pawn shops looking for tackle deals. Got an Abu Garcia Black max baitcarster like $5( converted) brand new its $60 here in South Africa. Perfect condition never used not a single scratch.

Just picked up a 552 Harrington and an HXW raptor from the Valu pawn on 45 and edgebrook for 375! Told the dude the drag washers were toast and the Harrington needed to be reepoxied. Went from 670 to 375. Absolutely nothing wrong with either of them lmao.

damn thats a score man sometimes those little drag arms that are on the spool will make noise when they get old. My abu revo ike edition did that but once i pushed em in so they didn't pop out when I casted the reel stopped making that noise. So maybe see if it was that but overall man thats a deal pretty much like a shimano bantam in performance.

The little tricks I’ve picked up from your work have helped me catch a ton of fish. People don’t understand the pressure on a lot urban waters you fish around the Houston Galveston area. Your surf and jetty stuff are outstanding. That giant bull red you caught with your family at the beach a while back was incredible, fish of lifetime!!

So that Lou's real is brand new and it is already f***** u* that should tell you something about lews quality con troll I have not used a lews rodand real combo yet that has not had something fail on it I had a 3 pound speck bust the rod. That is a high end lewz baitcaster and it is already messed up doesn't say much for their quality control does it
