You know, if you are looking for a really miminial, not looking like a desk, look, that open side drawer can be a great place to store your laptop and then pull it out when needed! Then the desk can stay lookiing like a writing spot when not in use! Or maybe making a drawer that opens when you pull down so the laptop can come out? Lovely purchase!

Since it is a desk, that hole is an awesome place to put a charging station! It is out of sight, and the perfect shape for a power strip and the space in the drawer should make it easy to hide excess cords!! just a thought! Love you and everything you do!

The desk is stunning! An idea if you’re hoping to make the bay window a reading area, you could move the desk in dining room and make that your office since you’re not using it to eat in. You could also move your round table in the bay window for a change. Just ideas… I love moving rooms around to reimagine then as another space.

The open missing drawer space could be to stow away your laptop or other electronics. And maybe a pretty basket somewhere for headphones and other stuff that you need but can clutter your desktop. So happy for you to have found such a statement piece of furniture! 🥰

Max Sold is another place to look for previously owned furniture. I purchased some vintage chairs last summer for $60 each. The Habitat For Humanity Restores are great, too. I bought a window and a metal door for my shed there.

Why was I like, "Girl, use your blanket yo slide the desk off on top the ground turn the desk and slowly go backwards. You heard me guuurrrll! (LOL, jk!! But great minds think alike!😉) SHE'S A BEAUTIFUL DESK! Smarter not harder is my motto!! I've moved a LOT of heavy stuff, even up and down stairs, that men were amazed I did by myself, and it's all because I used my brain and didn't need the brawn! AWESOME Find! From someone who moves around a lot of antique/vintage furniture, be careful as to not scratch your beauty! Use a towel/washcloth, something to protect the wood that is laying against your dolly. Metal like that is not forgiving on your wood surfaces.

I get excited when i can do a 2 person job by myself. Here are two tips i learned the hard way. 1. Get coulme adjustible tie down straps. That will help you be sure tall heaving things will be secure while moving. Especially when thee object's weight may not be evenly distributed. 2. The back of a dolly/hand cart is open. I measured the opening and cut a piece of plywood to coner the hole. When you are movin heavy things, bricks and pavers come to mind attach the plywood oner the hole with adjustible straps, then nothing can fall through. I'm 73 and still able to move almost anything with my dolly. I love her and all her adjustible straps. ❤

Love your desk and your dress. My husband bought me a similar desk, a number of years ago. It is a place for my sewing machine. A storage cube fits underneath and can serve as a footstool or large pincushion as needed.
