Macenna, get a banker's lamp, I think they come in different colors, the original colors is green, but I have seen them in a cream or white color. Very beautiful.

Love the desk Macenna! I have one much the same in my home that I got at Habitat. Not sure about Pine Sol directly from bottle onto wood furniture. I think it needs to be diluted 1:10 so as not to damage the wood. Great video and it's great to see you so excited.

I get that dirty spot on my jeans from the back of the car every time I load and offload stuff. The bottom of the back doorway collects water and dust and gets really dirty.

Don't you get the best sense of satisfaction when you can overcome obstacles on your own?😁 Would Romeo prefer a Pedestal desk (sometimes called a tanker desk)? Perhaps it's your steering wheel rubbing against your leg. Use Vinegar & water and a clean white cloth and wipe it down. See if anything comes off on the cloth.

You know, if you are looking for a really miminial, not looking like a desk, look, that open side drawer can be a great place to store your laptop and then pull it out when needed! Then the desk can stay lookiing like a writing spot when not in use! Or maybe making a drawer that opens when you pull down so the laptop can come out? Lovely purchase!

You need to get some Murphy's Oil Soap! It conditions the wood as you clean! You could totally DIY a cover for the missing drawer (or even build a new drawer lol!)

Just what I was thinking as she wiped it down with straight up Pine-Sol! Murphy's mixed with with a little warm water, wipe a part and dry quickly and work in sections. Then hit it with a coat of Howard's Feed & Wax.

Max Sold is another place to look for previously owned furniture. I purchased some vintage chairs last summer for $60 each. The Habitat For Humanity Restores are great, too. I bought a window and a metal door for my shed there.

The lamp reminds me of a 1950 colonial lamp reproduction. I would suggest you replace it with a French provincial style lamp.
