I have said this before, us weekend warriors, can know all the secrets. We will probably still be a bit behind the curve. We fish too much history, process slower and generally have less experience to adapt quickly. IMO. 🤷🏻♀️ I love your videos! Keep them flowing

While all that is certainly true, I think the over riding reason people who don’t fish very often continue to struggle are that when they do get on the water that can’t bring themselves to do all the things they have learned on YT. They just revert back to what they’ve always done regardless of how successful they have been. Breaking out of old habits takes time and effort and is something people find hard to do. The turning point for me was when I committed almost an entire year to do mostly studying while on the water and very little fishing. I’s put one or two rods on the deck and just spend 3-4 hrs just slowly wandering around my home waters, studying side scan & trying to learn, not just fish. Didn’t catch many fish that year but now I almost always can find some active fish. It helps that I only fish one body of water but that year of just studying has pretty much assured me of always finding ish unless something very drastic happens to my lake

Fish are attracted to me,I’m the best lure in my box ,who am I ,it’s you the one with all the advantages,we have floating log rafts on the lake an bass would spawn on the logs just under the water where the waves would wash the silt from the nest water under those logs is 100 ‘ deep through tagging we know those bass travelled over 5 miles from where we tagged them in the spring just weeks before ,I do enjoy the videos about bass movement because that’s the thrill of the chase electronics robs you of that experience an the reward of finding fish using a gift of understanding and appreciation of fishing it’s not dollar signs that has corrupted the whole family experience it’s greed.

Randy, on a different subject. I do watch your and several other videos. I live on the Ca. Delta and tournaments. NO one talks about how to handle fish anymore. I watched a team allow a fish to flop around in the boat on the carpet and took his foot and pinned it down. Maybe some info on how to handle flipped fish and deep hooked fish. You and I know to keep them off the carpet and not remove the natural coating. Mishandled fish will die after they swim off when released. Thanks Kaylath Harper Bethel Island Ca. Fishing the Ca. Delta over 30 years now.

I agree with your assessment of fire tiger, it can be hot or not. It's in my stable at all times and often the second or third color I'll try. Small mouth has a reputation in my book as a bass with a bad attitude. Often smashing my bait then running, diving, flying and may even slam into the boat to shake the bait. Pink, yellow and chartreuse are my go to for that brown beasts. Back on subject fire tiger will catch bass of any color and has been around for many years.

100% money in clear water! I gave you shit yesterday on your Fluoro/braid theory , and commented on that Fluorocarbon video. But you give solid advice and your a good fisherman without a doubt! And chartreuse in clear water is golden for panfish, bass, walleyes, trout, ……. Again I fish tap water clear water in WI, Great Lakes and inland lakes. Chartreuse is crucial! And even slightly stained lakes or rivers, chartreuse just works! Long live firetiger! Or clown, ….. hot pink ! And if you’re a Great Lakes Salmon/Trout fisherman the fluorescent colors are good clear or murky! Fluorescent colors work mid summer in murky water, or ………… During Fall / the spawn fluorescent is a color phenomenon that gets salmon and trout chomping and angry , and aggressive! I’ve caught walleyes in tap water clear lakes mid day on chartreuse or firetiger / clown. Smallmouth are just dumb for it! Good info 👍🏻 Again Randy checkout my KZbin page Weckerle Outdoors! I’m a WI boy making content and giving up some information and so on! Keep up the awesome work and good luck 👍🏻 🎣 Our clear water/ northern / Midwest fish are picky, smarter, more savvy to our tricks 😝….. kidding by the way! You’re info is solid, accept for Fluoro to Braid 😝 😆 😂 Good luck Randy, love your page, checkout Weckerle Outdoors here in Wisconsin

One lake near me slays on a firetiger rogue. Its a significant difference between that and anything else.
@hotramen59522 жыл бұрын
anything in the "midwest" eats perch. its why fire tiger works at all times in all bodies of water where perch are native. i wont fish for walleye bass northern or musky in Wisconsin or Minnesota without a lure of appropriate size in fire tiger or reasonable facsimile. you can mix and match the colors, yellow chartreuse orange and green, and if you put black bars on it, it will work.

You turned me onto to Bridgford beef jerky bro. Dang straight it's premium. Probably more of a fan for the other flavors over Teriyaki, but I now know the correct way to spell Teriyaki. :) I didn't know they used sweet baby ray's sauce. My fav. It's the only jerky I've tried that isn't so freaking dry it's impossible to get out of my teeth. Got it for my dog as a treat but my dog can get lost ha jk. ty man
