She put a sneak peak of Genesis in the performance.. as it was prior to release.. so it had people questioning.. “Wait! What song is this??” It made much more sense in hindsight.

Hey Sohum! I love your reaction to the RAYE Medley-such an incredible performance! Since you enjoyed RAYE so much, I think you'll love Young Athena. Would you please react to her performance of "Beautifully Crushed Petals" (Live at Metropolis)? Thank you for sharing such joyful reactions, and have a blessed day!

The short jazzy bit at 6:54 actually isn’t Prada. It’s a jazzy re-imagining of the beginning of escapism. “Sleazin’ and teasin’, I’m sittin’ on him” etc.

Knowone has ever in ny knowledge ever put on a 9 minute show like that crossing over so many syles and perfect transitions. Simply Phenomenal. I pray you may listen to one of her lesser known tracks All Dressed up ( Acoustic) sublime lyrics and delivery it has to be the acoustic version though of just her singing with a guy playing the guitar in front of a Christmas tree. Its so beautifuly powerful.

Great reaction to an amazing performance. I think this was at the 02 stadium in London which has a capacity of 20,000. Must have been an incredible atmosphere.

Strings get me in my feels every time. 😞 Re: The BRIT Awards are the biggest music awards in the UK. They’re held at the O2 Arena. The BRIT school is a renowned performing arts school that is connected to the awards (though the awards are not limited to past students). RAYE went to the BRIT school. In fact, in the music video for Genesis, the train station she was singing at was the station she would get off at to go to the BRIT school. ❤❤❤

Fun fact.. the original lyric in Escapism was meant to be “The man that I love sat me down last night and he told me that it’s over, done decision.” But after it had been recorded in studio, EVERYONE thought she was saying “Dumb decision”. So she just changed the lyric and stuck with what people thought it was. 😂 I personally prefer “done decision” but either way works. 😂

Sorry for the rambling comments.. but it can’t hurt the algorithm. Thanks again for always paying such attention and sharing your thoughts. Love it. ❤❤❤ If you get a chance, check out the video of her accepting the Brit Award with her Grandma by her side. Pretty sure I sent it with the link to this one.
