That plastic part thats failing to hold together is exactly where my CBR600RR started falling apart too. My advice to you is to get that bit of the fairing fixed, pronto. I thought I could live with it but the one time I got up to speed, about 250 km/h, the entire left side of the fairing got ripped off and ended up on the highway behind me. I miss my CBR.

So i'm going to be buying a bike in about a month, I am having a big headache over the CBR500 and the Ninja 300. (First bike by the way) I need to know things like whats better on the highway (70-80mph +passing power), Cruising around in general, and etc. Also what you think I will hold onto longer before wanting to get something better.

Tbh on a highway 300s are kinda ass. Passing speed is barely there. I think a 300 is a good bike if you want to ride to work and its fairly close like 30 minutes with not that many highways. Also the 300 you'll get bored with faster due to the lack of speed. It's a good starter bike if want to use it for a like a season or two and then want more power. Re sell value on 300s are also quite garbage. So if I were you i'd get a 300 thats been used if you decided to go that route. With that said tho, it's an excellent starter bike and has alot of mobility so it doesnt feel like you dont have control over it.

Novolius Between those two, I would go with the CBR. it's a bike you'll keep for longer and as long as you can control yourself it's safe. I'm in my first season and I started on a 600. It's all about being able to control yourself. As long as you do that. you can ride it as a 300.

When I'm in 1st gear going 15mph and slow down (not to a complete stop), and accelerate again, the bike revs. I gradually let go of the clutch and give it throttle but the bike still revs and if I let go of the clutch to fast, the bike jerks forward. what am I doing wrong?
