Ironically she gave her best performance in The Rise of Skywalker IMO, the film that has the least clear direction, she really grew into Rey by that point, kudos to her for pulling through despite all the stress and lack of character direction with the trilogy (if there is at all), she really delivered a solid performance with what little she could work with, with Adam Driver as well for Kylo Ren. The whole sequel trilogy can be summed up as corporate neglect (from Disney) of their actor employees and characters, they produced a bad product with no clear agenda and expected the cast and crew to somehow make it all work.

Studios have gotten ridiculous about spoilers. Shooting multiple fake scenes and buying and stacking shipping containers around sets and using drones to monitor and stop people from taking pictures and video of location shoots. Millions of dollars are wasted attempting to stop spoilers from leaking, and it's never stopped spoilers. Spoilers leak every time.

The performance of the actors saved the sequels a lot for me. They acted brilliantly. Daisy acted brilliantly despite the difficulties with the script. And I still think her character Rey is a good one and her journey in defining and accepting herself as a person, her inner fighting with herself and overcoming the conflict of feeling like an imposter is also well made, but the bad script didn't make it very obviously.

A note from me, only one, but I think I can speak for many, I dislike the movies, I criticize them harshly, I consider them a travesty. IT WAS NOT YOUR FAULT. The decision makers behind the scenes hold responsibility for all that people like me despise about the sequels. I remember thinking something similar about Ahmed Best, dude did a good job, he did what he was directed to do, and became a largely hated character. Y'all are awesome. Love ya, really. In that case Lucas was responsible, but I don't hate him either. Like said, he had it hard too. But put the responsibility where it belongs, but with respect. I DON'T respect when those truly responsible try to shove them blame on others, notably the fans, that's where (my personal) *disdain* for the sequel trilogy comes from.

Bombastic, buddy, Luke never achieved the rank of master either. So, who cares? As a person who was adopted, i understood and loved her character. The only issues i had were Rian Johnson's entire film, except for her appearance and being a grey character until the end, and the fact Disney thinks lightsabers have an inability to cut into humanoid lifeforms beyond leaving a scratch or simple scar. If Disney didn't rush the films, then maybe the writers of each film would've been able to collaborate and make each of them share the same tone/feel as each other and maintain consistency. It would've also been better if, had they still brought Sidious back, he would've been allowed to use his lightsabers in the fight against Rey and Ben Solo rather than just sitting on that crane chair thing and blasting lightning out of his rotting fingers. Much better way to properly honor the whole Skywalker Saga.

I never had any issues with Daisy playing Rey, if there was actually a plan for the sequels I think Rey, Finn, and Poe was a decent Golden Trio moving forward, and then Last Jedi happened.
