This was a great video. Taking time to interact with the fellas of PTP was wholesome; especially with the question. I don't know if you guys have done a video where each person introduces themselves and speak on their speciality, but that would be a great addition to this video as the team is very robust and amazing. That said, Magpie and the van are coming along very well. You all use internal supplies and concepts that no one else does and it's great to see you all work so well in your elements. I can't wait to see what you all will do for our bus.

Thanks a lot Noah! We have not yet had time to put that type of video together, but this was a little foreshadowing on whats to come! A team "who we are" video has long been on the list haha! Love the idea of further deep dives into each of our team members specialty. Super excited to hear more about your build plans! When are you booked in for!?

@@PavedToPines My wife and I are booked for late 2022 or early 2023, I believe. We're waiting to speak to Lourie (I hope I spelled his name correctly. Please forgive me if I have not) about getting everything mapped out for the bus build. We also still have the bus at the mechanic's to make sure the engine, transmission and drive train are ok.

@@noahlomax1 Awesome! Lorry, is about as easy going as it gets, and I don’t think an incorrect spelling could phase him! That is great news, let us know what you find out! Make sure they do a good check for any rust repairs needed, etc. Looking forward to getting started on plans!!

I'm surprised you use 3/4" on the ceiling, a lot of builds I watch use thinner material, good job guys. Yes lighter colors in inclosed spaces make them feel bigger, learned that doing reno's on small houses. Love the hickory butcher block top and backslash, do you make them in house or sub in out?
@PavedToPines2 жыл бұрын
Thinner is great for weight (usually not a concern on the large buses). What we like 3/4” for is the ability to anchor at any point on the ceiling. Hickory is laminated into raw slabs from HyGrade in Saskatoon, then finished in house!

I'm familiar with the process, I've made butcher block tops out of red and white oak, maple, ash walnut and pine, largest wad a 5ft X 9ft. kitchen island top.

Thanks Brian! Would love to hear more on this. This is one of those discussions getting a lot of back and forth!
