I love those less permeable clays keeps out a lot of moisture and air! In my opinion, the coins come right out looking almost perfect. Just wipe it off with a microfiber and it's ready for display. Beautiful coins guys!!!

good luck on your hunt i have followed your videos for a few years now been metal detecting since 1979 Was involved in forming a club " West Coast Treasure Hunters Club " out of Vancouver B.C. Canada in 1980 but now live on Vancouver Island B.C. my first machine was a Garrett TR . I now own a Whites 4900DL , Fisher 1266 , and my newest machines are a Minelab Vanquish 540 and a Whites Treasure pro and now looking into a new Garrett AT PRO due to watching your videos I'm impressed with your knowledge on this machine Sorry for the rambling on again good luck , Good hunting , be safe

Too bad they don't make a battery powered, portable parts washer. A quick paraffin wash and detailing brush is extremely mild, but highly effective for various finds. As long as you don't use too much elbow grease (or paraffin), it won't loose much patina either. It just becomes more presentable.
