I feel like I've had more games like this lately (even in Bo3) where the opponent semi pops off but you don't give up and fight back and they're just like, "nah I'm done." People expect to just win off doing the thing because a lot of decks can't handle it even though there are decks that can.

Multiple fomos on board is really easy with a reanimate strategy (Alesha, also really good with forge). Dropping your third forge token for the turn will usually elicit a scoop.

Rakes Sacrifice was my first favorite deck, I was playing priest of forgotten gods and mayhem devil way before it was widely popular. Super happy to see it returning to standard, still kicking butt. There are 360 slots in the binder.

Getting back into magic after a couple years gone, and I love watching your content to get a feel for things again. I find the sacrificing of enchantments archetype to be very interesting. No idea how common it is in mtg history, but the last time I remember it being big was… Theros Beyond Death, I think? @@TheFenixDown206 but it is pretty much more a flaw of the game. The flood will get you but so will the drought. Having a flood is to be expected in MtG it is not really an issue of Arena. On contrary if no flood would be having you would basically have to doubt the legitimacy of the shuffler. Handshuffling tends to be more biased due to different shuffling methods and humans just being bad at shuffling.

@@calebmills6051 Sorry for the wall of text. Here is a TL;DR: I have tested the shuffler for fun using unique cards to know how often I actually see the same card. Forest 1 or Forest 12 register as "a forest" so I removed that variance. Across 500 games with an alt account were I just drew myself out I had a pretty good variance of cards. If you don't experience droughts or floods in IRL games you might employ a more biased shuffling method. Actual comment: Do you have actual numbers? I did a few tests using all different cards and assigning each a number value. Having copies of the same card tend to skew perception. If I run four copies of a card like Loot for example I might hit Loot 1 in Game A and Loot 3 in Game B and Loot 4 in Game C etc. Even though I am hitting a technically different card I am registering it as the same. So no copies. The shuffler came our to be what is to be expected across a sample size of 500 games with an alt account (1000 decks sample size) were I just drew cards. If you don't experience flooding in IRL games you might be using a shuffling method that is biased. Most IRL shuffling methods aren't actually random. Granted 1000 is actually not a high sample size considering the various way a 60 card deck can be shuffled. Let alone a deck that is bigger. Humans are notoriously bad at recognizing randomness. This is a result of our pattern recognition. Stochastic math is extremely unintuitive. I am having as many if not more mana droughts or floods in XMage or Untap. But I hear almost nobody saying that its shuffler is biased. Am I an outlyer? Maybe. Handsmoothing is real but it is almost exclusively to the benefit to the player. If they would actually mingle with the shuffler I would actually expect there to be a more consistent rate of lands, instants, sorceries and creatures. I personally expect the experience a lot of people have in Arena compared to IRL play is that IRL shuffling is actually more biased than digital shuffling.
