When a band comes out with an original sound there are usually 100 other bands who sound just like them because they copy their formula. With Tool, even though they have been around since the early 90's, no band sounds like them. They are so good, no one can copy their sound. You will even see, even though Tool has a distinct sound, all of their songs sound different from each other! They are AMAZING live too. The singer, Maynard, is in the back, in the darkness. Never has a spotlight on him. All you can see is his silhouette getting down! All I can say is enjoy the ride! Next song...THE GRUDGE! Very tribal and is about letting your grudges go. It's all about taste and mood. I love Pantera, Rush, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, TOOL, Sleep Token, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Jinjer, Pink Floyd, CheVelle....the list goes on & on. Obviously, I cannot do a music review channel unless I get tortured with R&B, Rap, Country or Pop music. Those genres suck for the most part, a couple of gems, but the best I've ever heard in my life is the beautiful 18-year-old Norwegian barefoot Princess Angelina Jordan. She is the best!

Tool is close to perfect in so many ways- musical talent, production, engineering...all of it. Maynard's a creative genius. I've been a fan since 93 and they just keep improving themselves. I really recommend the Pneuma drum cam just so you can see how amazing Danny Carey is. And if you want to dive into the meaningful 'make you think' stuff you can't go wrong with Lateralus, Parabola, or Right in Two. Eulogy, Vicarious and the Grudge also 🔥 Personally I think Puscifer is the best showcase for Maynard's vocals. Try Humbling River, Potions, Grand Canyon and Momma Sed (v for versatile version). All beautiful.

Manyards 3 bands are all different genres. Tool being a genre on its own, if it were a painting it would be a masterpiece, it’s for the mind. Early Tool was raw and it evolved into intellectually deep when you start understanding the lyrics. There are many backstories to their music. You should listen to Sober, the live version.

It’s intentionally done so one instrument doesn’t overpower the other and that includes Maynard’s voice. It’s difficult to normalize the drummer as you will learn, he is basically considered to be on the Mount Rushmore of drummers. He is sick.
