By the grace of God and good choices I would be homeless and hungry, I thank God everyday that I follow my grandparents instructions and purchase land very young, some of the things they beat into my head it’s like they saw the future. Sister Jane I see the struggles my own children are having and they are professionals. But if they fall into hardship they can’t fight there way out of, the doors are always open. I’m praying for better days, but we all have to be like the ants.

@@slowlivingjane I listened too my elders saved my money my husband and I worked 2 jobs for almost 20 years, I know God gave us strength to push through. But we were encouraged to work through the hardship and keep your faith 🥰, but I do worry about the youth because they do work hard and having a hard time keeping their heads above water.

Things are tough out there! You have to do everything you can to make ends meet. I don't know what else is going on in this ladies life ,but she said she works three days a week. You have to take matters in your own hands sometimes and step it up.

You are so right, something is brewing and a lot of people are feeling it. The system as we know it, is broken and failing, everyone will be affected at some point, just a matter of time. I've been talking with a few close friends the past couple of weeks and we feel the same way, we have had enough of gov't overreach, censorship and corruption, it just doesn't stop, only gets worse. I understand how we got to where we are today, I know where this fiasco is leading us all to, but how does anyone stop it?
@slowlivingjane
@slowlivingjane Жыл бұрын
Good question..how to stop it when the majority of "the people " are too busy with their heads down to notice what's going on around them. When they do look up the media is telling them what to believe. Lies are facts and facts are conspiracy theories or cancellation. It's a bloody mess that most won't wake up to until its too late.

In the UK our Government is pushing more and more people into poverty. I know a few people who used to be "middle class" for decades but are now falling below the breadline. Once it reaches a critical point where most people start suffering it will lead to anarchy. Already crime has increased significantly over the years. Things like shoplifting is now becoming all too common. Very scary and sad 😢

Absolutely 💯. Anarchy is exactly what I see coming. Let's hope that our brothers, sisters, aunts and uncles and friends in blue and uniform do not help them with their martial law.

Hi Jane. I'm in America. Single parent with autistic son. No longer have full time job. I am so thankful I live in small city. I have a vegetable garden, learning how to can my food, repurpose a lot of my clothes. I've pulled back on buying wants and focus on needs. My daughter lives in near Washinton DC and she tells me how expensive is. Thanks for your videos

It is heartbreaking to see hard working people struggling like this! All of us who know someone going through trials to this degree need to reach out to them. Share food from the garden, share the knowledge of how to make things themselves. To be honest, I haven’t purchased a jar of peanut butter in years; I buy raw peanuts and make the peanut butter myself. No additives! Just a handful of peanuts and a blender. That’s it. A couple of dollars/euros vs. $4, $5, or even $6! And a bag of flour along with the other ingredients required will make so many loaves of bread for the price of one or two and it’s so much healthier. People need to be taught these old ways again. They need to know that it’s so much easier to make these products than it sounds! There are very few things left that I purchase pre-made anymore and it is the way that we have gotten by for years of less than deserved income.

That's right. "We" have forgotten how to take care of ourselves. I heard a joke once that a teacher asked kids where potatoes came from and they answered: the store. We have to relearn many many things.

@@slowlivingjane oh my gosh, that’s so true! I just let my neighbor’s 6 year old granddaughter “find” a couple of eggs in our coop the other day. She had no idea where eggs came from and I was excited to show her. I told her to take them home and have them for breakfast with her little sister. I was then told a few days later that my neighbor was afraid to cook them not knowing if they were safe to eat. She said that she was going to throw them away but her 16 yr old son stopped her saying that there could be babies in them and to check with me before dumping them. 😵‍💫 The interaction made my head hurt on so many levels!!! Ha ha ha

@@slowlivingjaneI don't go on Tik Tok but she has a few options. She has 3 bedrooms and so she could consider renting out a room. I guarantee you someone needs just a room to rent. She can file for bankruptcy but not certain of implications since she's in Canada. She could just stop paying mortgage and rent apartment before house is foreclosed on and dings her credit. It's heartbreaking but she the main thing is that she MUST get over the being embarrassed about needing help. We all are going to need one another very soon whether we like it or not.

I agree, this is an 'All of Us' situation. This woman is from Canada. This is the story of most Canadians these days. The cost of housing and rent is just unthinkable. The inflation of food, and well, everything else is unbearable. Of course, it seems that is the same here in Europe too (though the cost of housing is not as extreme as Canada). I absolutely agree that there will be a tipping point, and when that happens it will get a lot uglier before we can find balance again. We all need to remind each other to prepare, and to support each other in our communities (whether online or where we live).

Where I live there are a few no questions asked food pantries (mostly in churches) and they are good about making things stretch so everyone gets something. In the US, check your local food bank and senior centers (usually 60+y) to find what is available near you. My son works, but we both got C19 after all of the help programs ended so we've been playing catchup ever since.

I agree with you Slow living Jane. I don’t buy anything that I don’t need. I’m not rich and I’m not buying anything only certain foods and not much of that because it’s not the same. Some of the foods is terrible. I grow much of my own now. I canned and preserve my fruits and vegetables. I’m still eating my canned meats from 2021. It’s delicious! I bake my own breads, etc. This world is up to something and we must be wise. Stay ready for what’s about to happen. Thanks for sharing Jane. Blessings ❤

This is all true. Many Americans have lived check to check with no savings for years now. With inflation many started using their credit cards the whole "rob peter to pay paul" but now they are maxing out their credit with nothing left what will they do? steal simple life or death you would do anything to feed your child, here in America many have guns it's a joke at this point so if people lose it, it won't be on their neighbors it will be with whom is in charge. This will make history I am afraid of this winter. We made good money which is no not enough for special needs therapies out of pocket after the private insurance runs out but we have too much to get any help from any programs we fall through the cracks. it will come down to food & roof, people will stop paying everything else cause it won't be possible. I feel for the other families with disabled children cause our challenges are diverse & we have more limitations in our opportunities

This is sad. $34 an hour is $72,000 a year. It's double what some people with children make in the US. She makes good money this comes down to her choices. Smaller condo, cheaper car. What they don't say is that they're not willing to adjust their lifestyle from a 5 star life.

Yes that is true for a lot of people unfortunately. They refuse to adjust. But I think I understand she works 3 days a week. Which is also something she can change. Still the point is why is it always the common man that has to adjust and shuffle? Why are our representatives and their governance always get away with bad policies?

Yes Gina..People have to start getting smart and do whatever it takes. She also mentioned she worked 3 days a week. I don't know why because we never know others circumstances but there is a lot you have in your own hands as well. We all need to speak up and do more and certainly vote your interests. ( even that doesn't help most of the times)

That is why you have to put ALL your TRUST IN THE LORD JESUS CHRIST! When you repent of your sins and surrender your life to HIM, HE comes into your life and changes you from the inside out. HE loves you and HE wants a very real personal relationship with you. It’s not about religion, it’s about relationship. Then you share with HIM all of your hopes, dreams and concerns, and HE takes care of you. JESUS CHRIST was the best decision I have ever made. I accepted HIM in 1999 and my life has never been the same. HE has brought me out of trials, carried me through storms, HE is all I need. HE loves you more than you could ever comprehend. HE knows you, HE knew you before you were in your mothers womb. JEREMIAH 1:5 HE will never leave you nor forsake you. Hebrews 13:5 HE has loved you with a Everlasting love. JEREMIAH 31:3 HE wants you to know HIM. CHOOSE JESUS CHRIST TODAY! YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT! ❤️❤️❤️
@slowlivingjane
@slowlivingjane Жыл бұрын
That may all be true but I know thousands of die hard Christians and believers that are all struggling. Religion or their relationship with God hasn't solved anything for them. Not even the church can help everyone in their communities. Although they try. It's a disaster around the world
@LavenderandLinen
@LavenderandLinen Жыл бұрын
Yes, I agree with Jane on this. I am a believer as well. It sounds like my faith is most likely a little different than yours because I believe that is it the Father that we are to run to rather than the messiah, but that aside, we have to be careful what picture it is that we paint. We were told in the Torah, (and the New Testament as well,) over and over again with example after example that we WILL suffer through trials. The last thing that people need is to be told “accept Christ and your troubles will vanish”. It’s simply not true. “The rain falls on the righteous and the unrighteous alike.” If we cling to Him, YHVH will give us strength to persevere, but this topic that Jane is discussing requires boots on the ground, not heads in the clouds. We need to remain grounded.
