That battery case is made for three batteries it takes 1800 cold cranking amps to start you can by two 900 amp batteries will work . Just trying to help 50 years experience can’t help but say something not trying to be mean.

🤔 Those of you that want him to take the truck back. Have you yourself ever not felt like moving (or starting)? Did your Mom take you back to the hospital? I don't think so. Don't give up on the truck so fast. We will call the truck "Betsy" that's usually what most vehicles are called. Give Betsy a chance to shine. 😊

Danial when you spin like you did try raising the bed up a little it will put some weight on the drive wheels and give you more traction . I drove a truck 19 years hauling coal and did my shire of spinning my wheels lol

Just a recommendation Daniel. When you get a dump trailer get one with two hydraulic cylinders, dual axel and check the gates. Welds on the gates are usually the first thing to get destroyed. LOL! But the reason for the double hydraulic cylinders is for balance of lifting weight. Won't rock back and forth and break a cylinder or weld.

Make sure the hydraulic motor is bolted down properly. it might be twisting when you hit something big with the blades and breaking that line. Good luck to you!!

It’s just a day for Murphy’s Law! My buddy who’s a diesel mechanic thinks it’s probably a bad filler or something else to do with fuel. It sounds just fine cranking, but it’s just not getting enough fuel. Since it’s just a loaner, I would refrain from using the Tanya Harding 9000 (aka Sledgehammer). Hopefully you’ll get some help to get it running to go back to its home again! Again Daniel, don’t use the Tanya Harding!! You’ve got that look, I know that look… I’ve been there, done that and got the t-shirt many times!

People bad-mouthing your nice friend's dump truck. It's not a bad truck; it just needs some TLC. More battery, and the fuel system needs a little work. Probably not good enough traction for what you need to use it for, but that is a good ol' truck.

I feel your anger with the shop who does you hoses. I took my SUV in for the first 5000KM. oil change. On the way home I could smell oil burning. The filter was leaking and blowing back on the exhaust. New Filter top up with oil and back on the road. Check my oil the next morning just to be safe....NO DIP STICK IN THE HOLE. Mechanic forgot to put it back in. COME ON GET OFF YOUR CELL PHONE WITH YOUR GIRL FRIEND OR BOY FRIEND AND DO YOUR JOB. This generation does not have any common cents ...JUST SAYING.

Same thing happened last week when I had my oil changed. The O ring was sliced when they put the oil filter on. Burning oil smell every time I used the brakes. The oil was blowing back on the engine….

I agree with Deejay. Return it and get a gooseneck dump trailer. Your truck is already set up for towing, so putting a goose ball on the truck wouldn't take much. They have 3-point attachments to pull a gooseneck trailer with a tractor.

That fitting breaking after it being loaned out makes me wonder if it broke while it was loaned out and the wrong fitting was replaced. Go to your owners manual and make sure you get the specified fitting.

To get the full 1000 amps out of THAT jump starter you will need to turn the device on, THEN press and hold the red exclamation point, and THEN attach to battery. What this does is disable the safety features on the device (designed for situations where a battery is so dead the device doesn't detect any voltage.) WARNING, when doing this the connectors will be live prior to connecting it to the battery. Hope this helps!

Great video. As an almost 67 year old one eyed veteran (cataract surgery today so back to two eyes in a day or two) I can only say that you need to… do whatever will work to fit your needs. I also think you were pretty darn brave comparing DeJay to a dump truck but then we all know she has a sense of humor 😃. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to more adventures.

Maybe try cleaning the carburetor or rebuilding it. Gas may not be getting into it and that’s probably why it won’t stay running

I feel your pain; for the last 3 months it's been one thing after another (both jobs AND personal life). Diesels are fuel, Air and compression... If air is getting in the fuel system, no bang, if not enough air to the cylinder, not enough bang. Just remember, candy corn is in stores now; vegetables!

I know you didn't buy this Rig,But you should go back a buy that short wheelbase GMC you stopped and looked at.Dumpbed trailer is nice for light loads in open areas,but that short base Truck would pay for itself just by hauling the mud from the pond.!!!! You will need a min 3500 pickup to pull the trailer loads from the pond,Your biggest tractor won't cut it.Especially downhill

When cranking, if there's no smoke at exhaust there's no fuel, or contaminated fuel is present. Start at fuel filter and(it should have) water separator, check for fuel/water if no water is found and fuel is not present pump primer if it has one. If it primes the system, try to start. If no start proceed to cylinder 1 injector line, loosen fitting and crank to check fuel, this is easier with a remote start switch, or an assistant. If no start/no fuel chances are the injection pump has crapped out. Unless it has a lift pump to supply fuel to the injector pump, in which case, the lift pump could be bad. Yes, that should be a 24 volt starting system. On the brush cutter, get some heavy duty zip ties and secure the small line to the larger line(s). That is a small tube at the end of the hose, those hoses are almost completely rigid when pressurized and when the machine is running they vibrate. Small diameter hoses with that much length unsupported will whip around and break themselves easily. The affect of that vibration is almost like grabbing them and yanking them back and forth. I hope that all helps. And yes Daniel, I'm thinking that a dump trailer behind a tractor would be the best fit for your situation. If for no other reason than the fact that you won't have to have a complete road built just to haul mud.

I dont know if you have thought about this, but when you start rebuilding the pond maybe build yourself a boat launch. The new pond will be big enough to put your new boat in amd run the trolling motor. Your boat launch can be done with concrete, gravel, or even leave it dirt. Just make sure its packed down good.

Helpful hint. Get a plug to go in the end of your fitting so when you have to run it back threw the sleeve you don't get any trash in the end of your hydraulic hose
