Mainly about becoming someone else to keep that perfect love. Love yourself: answer is about the true meaning of what love is. That helps when you’re trying to figure out the meanings of the songs.

Yeah RM wrote the lyrics like that but I think the song itself was written by a guy named Charlie J. Perry. Or maybe RM and Charlie wrote the song together, I'm not sure.

In a Billboard interview with Charlie J. Perry: “They gave me this amazing brief, kind of, what they wanted. It was like a poem...I wanted to inject something very emotional into it...I was absolutely blown away [by the finished song]”. And in RM’s Vlive (translated) he said it “took 3 hours to write the lyrics on the fourth day of my surgery”. In the same Vlive, Tae abruptly pops into the Vlive and thanks RM for the lyrics. In a 180507 fan cafe, he wrote: I thought that if I wrote good lyrics, Taehyung would like it. Luckily I didn’t have to edit and did this in one shot (translated elsewhere). So... yeah, RM heavily contributed to Singularity.

I was there when he performed singularity stadium version (with THE BED) for the first time. I can still hear the screams as he opened his eyes for the first time during the performance ☠ He mentioned being quite nervous performing it because the rehearsal time between the Love Yourself tour and the Speak Yourself tour was so SHORT. Basically non existent. When he heard us screaming for him during the first rosebowl concert he went back to his hotel and cried 😭 The bass 🔊is so loud in person...I still get shivers.

Actually it's the opposite. He was talking about losing himself in the relationship, losing his voice and identity. Love Yourself: Tear was the second album of the Love Yourself trilogy. They all had themes. Love Yourself: Her was first and it was about new relationships and how they make you feel. Tear was next and this was about those relationships souring and you losing yourself. The last album is Love Yourself: Answer and that is about realizing that you need to find yourself and by doing that you understand that you have to love yourself before you're able to truly love anyone else. Some will tell you all the vocal line solos are storyline but as far as I'm concerned only JK's Euphoria and Jin's Epiphany are.

In my personal opinion this song is about losing yourself... Like when in the end of the mv he puts on a mask I think that symbolizes him losing himself to become someone he's not 🤔 those masks that appear in the mv floating around him I think that they represent the society and when he offers them a flower but they reject it it's because he's not like them 🤔 so I think at the end he puts on a mask to become like them and be accepted 🥺 (English is not my first language I'm sorry if you don't understand what I mean 🥺🥺)
