@caitlinbensonn - Thanks for posting your reaction to V's Tiny Desk Korea performance. When I first watched it, I thought how Iris Stevenson from American Hustle Life would have SO SO SO PROUD of V with his songs on Layover. It's so sad that she passed away February 20th 2021 and wasn't here to see how her influence on V so many years ago came to fruition in a spectacular way but I'm sure she is watching from above and smiling and clapping and saying "THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!"

This tiny desk was perfect, the only flaw is that is too short! I could honestly listen to this forever. He is such a menace... His voice is amazing, so so rich and I loved to see him have fun with the band and do some music he loves. The band was fire, so very proud of what they did with this.

I feel like after Iris encouragement and support, V just took off. They were working on an album at the time and that's the first album V's vocals really shined. Idk I just feel that Iris's comment that he had Soul touched V. You could see the surprise on his face wasn't scripted. Nobody had ever told him that. It was like some switch went on for him and over the years he has steadily been focusing more and more on this type of music. I'm so glad someone pointed him in the right direction.

the band was absolutely incredible! i love that v's album really gave the instrumentals their time to shine. every single one of them killed it, but extra kudos to the three background vocalists who sang v's Korean lyrics! i can't assume since i don't know them well, but if they didn't already speak Korean before this performance, they must have worked extra hard because their pronunciation was flawless and they were able to enunciate with such confidence, which isn't easy at all. i hope they are all (v included, of course) so proud of themselves for delivering such a breathtaking performance!

Vocally speaking, in my opinion, Kim Taehyung gave us the best album of all the solo vocalists. He is just so on point vocally, but, more than that, he is so soulful and authentic as well. Don't get me wrong, all 4 BTS vocalists have sung wonderfully on their solo works, but Taehyung's Layover holds a special place in my heart. I became Taehyung biased after hearing Layover. Wow. So beautiful and heartbreaking.

I enjoyed your video so much! You were so upbeat but I was teary eyed the whole time. Your reaction was my reaction too. I was in awe with his vocals, the vibe, the band and the entire arrangement...it is so V!!! It showed his true color as an artist respecting his co artists and enjoying their music so much. Watching him so happy and relaxed makes me feel the same way. This is the 5th reaction video I watch since this morning and I was teary eyed each time because of how proud I am of Taehyung. Tiny Desk is my most favorite live performance of Taehyung and I couldn't stop watching it.

Thing is Kpop is very conpetative and if another company had known he was part of BTS they would have used a very know practice of poaching a member away to ruin a group they think are a danger to their own groups. So they'll try to get get that member to leave with false but good sounding offers only to then not do anything with them. I know it's disgusting but it happens with Kpop Companies. Thank goodness BigHit kept V secret or his voice would never have been heard like it is both as part of BTS and as a Solo artist.
