Here is a so called mistake Record! Both sides are labeled the same as "Running Between The Rain Drops", So I used my phones lettering photo app to correct the error, but the lettering would only go down to a certain size! So it appears a tad larger then it should, also I had to stretch out each pic, so it bounces slightly! And I did not change the Orchestra and kept it as the a side! But it is a FUN record indeed! One of those beautiful chocolate brown colored records that I sure hope You will enjoy

Andy Sannella plays sax, Charles Magnante plays accordion, and George Hamilton Green plays marimba. They were the core of the Grey Gull House band. Mike Mosiello usually played trumpet. They were all mainstays of the Victor house bands, like the High Hatters,

@@roybo1930 You're welcome. A friend of mine produced a CD of Grey Gull sides, all great and all by Andy Sanella and his group. Often, they were just jamming and having fun in the studio. I like your posts very much.

You got me - is “Running Between the Raindrops “ on either side? If so, the guitar might be Eddie Lang. The Broadway Syncopators was primarily a Lou Gold Orchestra- aka Lew Gold. Both songs were recorded by Lou Gold’s Orchestra in 1930. However, Ben Selvin also used The Broadway Syncopators as a pseudonym. My Grandpa Bob (trumpet)recorded the song w Lou Gold in 1930. Thus it’s been a lifetime challenge trying to figure out how to “ run between raindrops “. ; j 🎶🎺🎶

This record has two different songs as normal. The label machine pasted the "Running Between the Raindrops" label on both sides by mistake. I'm looking forward to Roybo posting that side soon, to hear if it's the Lou Gold take you mention!

@@benzo4029Yes indeed! Both sides are listed as Running Between The Rain Drops, and I am going to post is shortly! It is neat to find a record with mistakes on it like this! I have a couple where the labels are reversed!

Rust does not list this disc at all, but I know it was also issued on Madison under the alias Madison Melody Players. No information at all is to be found about wat most probably is a Grey Gull studio band indeed... Whoever is playing, this cheerful and sparkling performance was most enjoyable. Thank you very much for sharing!

Thank You so much! Yes! I figured it was a wonderful Grey Gull studio orchestra playing this, Grey Gull must have been bitten by the same bug that got ARC, But I love these records!

Went to high school with Ray Robbins son, John. So you ever come across any of Ray’s trumpet work?

@@roybo1930 Up in my barn I have a bunch of old 45’s that I would love to pass on to you. A lot of old polkas from my polish/ Canadian relative and probably some other cool oldies. When it warms up a bit and quits raining here in Bonny Doon, California, I’ll get up there and check them out and let you know what I have.

I love seeing a good radiex! You did a good job editing the titles on there. You try to format things on there how they'd actually appear, like how I do. Unlike how the prof does by just slapping title and artist name in caps up on there. Never heard of a brown-wax Radiex, but I'm sure that's a great looking thing. Nice hearing some Hawaiin guitar too

Thank You so much! That was not easy to do on my phone! the italicized lettering was actually what I use in the credits and recording date for my videos, Strangely it is exactly the same as what was used on the label itself, I had to do it letter by letter, because my phone would drop down the the next word (ie) I Can't Leave My Troubles --- so on so forth! So I had to move the words over to where they belonged, and screenshot each! And It would not let me shrink to the smaller type I needed, But it worked out to a point! Then my stupid phone shrinks screenshots, so when I started to make this I had to resize each picture, that causes the pictures to bounce from frame to frame! Grey Gull made Brown, Orange and Black shellac, Madison and Van Dyke were primary labels at this point and they were mostly black or brown! I appreciate your comment!

Yeah doing things on phones can be such a pain in the ass. I recommend trying that stuff on computer, but even then programs like Paint can still be a piece of shit whenever it comes to putting lettering on correctly, and it'll just pretend like it needs to cut off the last four letters of a word sometimes
