As a neutral I felt the ref could've booked Rob Holding for any of the two fouls he committed on son and it was inevitable he'd be booked after his third foul, but for me Rob Holding being one of the senior members of the team got caught up in a personal battle with Son and failed to think about what's best for the team and naively fell into the trap cleverly layed by Son and Harry Kane which led to the ref having no choice but to send him off .

Son clearly elbowed holding before this = No red card. No VAR. Son jumps into holding later - holding gets a red card. The ref wanted to send Arsenal players off any way he could. No to mention son dived for the penalty - it was a basic shoulder contact - but down he goes again. He’s not as squeaky clean as his smile would make you believe.

Holding elbowed Son in the face & got sent off in a game that could've got Arsenal into the Champion's League. Arteta: "I'm so proud of my players" This is exactly why 15 Arsenal players have been sent off since Arteta took charge in Dec 2019. E.g. when asked about Xhaka sent off for grabbing a Burnley player by the throat, Arteta told the BBC: _"It is too much willingness to do well"_

Holding was stupid and deserved it, we accept that, but that’s not the issue. It’s all the other decisions. The pen was questionable, ref had to be very willing to give that and in other games, they’re not given. If u saw it from all angles, which they barely checked, you’d see. Son and kane etc were also fouling players as they usually do and they get away with it. Son elbowed Holding too but i bet u didn’t see that, there was purposely minimal coverage or any mention of it. Sky don’t wanna replay it but u can see it all online. We get penalised for anything and everything. Refs are too quick and happy to punish us over the smallest things. Paul Tierney is one of the worst refs in the league, without a doubt, and there are many terrible refs. He’s gotta be up there

I agree. The penalty was given for nothing not seen at any set piece. The second goal came from Hojberg's foul on Saka being given the wrong way leading to the corner from which Spurs scored. He did decide the game. Before the second goal even after Holding went off Arsenal were on top. Spurs hardly got out of their own half in a game they needed to win.

As an Arsenal fan, I think Rob Holding's second booking for foul on Son could've been a straight red. He lost his mind. Exactly why he's been at Arsenal for many years, yet cannot cement a place in the first team. As for Cedric, I haven't seen a Portuguese playing as bad as him. These guys needs to be sold. They're not Arsenal standard tbh. Yes, the penalty decision was kinda harsh, but truth be told, Cedric gave Son a nudge at the back but Son made more of it. That's experience! At 1-0 down, Spurs knew that the game is far from over and you can see it in their passing. They were scared and not composed. But after the red card, the game was done and dusted. It's in the book that Arsenal remaining fixtures against Newcastle and Everton will be tough, but I tell you, Spurs should not sleep over Burnley and Norwich, yes, they're not good teams but anything can happen. Spurs have shown that in the past. More drama to unfold! But in the end, it's gonna be Arsenal's. COYG!

@@duwayasiniduwayasini4952 and what's the problem? What were you trying to say exactly? Holding was not really helping the team either. The red was fully deserved, even it should be given earlier when he kicked Son's rib. And they fouled inside the box, anyone know it could be a pen. And even without a pen they still won by 2-0. Tbh it's scary to see Arsenal fan and Arteta mostly blamed the losing on the refs or the opponents not on themselves. Did they really not know what was wrong abt themselves? I mean.. blaming the refs on losing, did the ref disallowed their goals? They didn't score any goals that was why they didn't win. If they thought the refs ruin the game bcs of the pen and the red, yeah that meant the players were not good enough to handle the pressure

Arsene wenger suffered against english officials in the past when AFC played against Ferguson's english players and mourinho's englisg players, so if anyone expects VAR changes the game and make it fair for everyone then you are all mistaken. This never changes, well done referees to keep this consistent for few decades ..! Wenger realised this and he started building players from england for few years after the invincibles era to get some decent performances from the refereed but we didn't have good english players during that time plying consistently for england .Kudos to the referees!!! Looking forward to referee's performance against Burnley Vs Spurs.

The 2 occasions before were scruffs, its a derby it happens. That's why Mikel said the ref ruined the game because he should not be giving such soft fouls

@@ethansequeira7740 yeah but holding literally kicked son in the ribs before the 1st yellow he should of seen straight red or at least a yellow for that the red was being very lenient to Arsenal yesterday not the other way around
