Being able to store usable items on the counter shelves is cool. I always thought the cabinets should function like the refrigerator in that you should be able to click to open them and then drag things in and out. I know you can use the household inventory for this but having to enter Build Mode destroys the immersion when you're live playing.

I took my dog on a walk and took her off leash to play fetch and she ran back to my house. I live in a quiet suburban neighborhood, so it could have been worse. But then, when I got home, I checked my pocket for my phone and realized after I was running after my dog with no other worries than “don’t let you puppy get run over by a car” my phone fell out of my unzipped pocket at some point. I put my dog in her crate and ran of to find my phone and my neighbors had found it and they gave it to me. Most eventful thing in all of my quarantine.

"why does every house i make look like this?" sis you did modern style which you barely do which is already a big step up, though if you wanna do something super different try to do something fantastical/whimscal next time GRSGSRGSR also! i think the landscaping is fine, when you are in a modern home you probably want something more clean and specially low mantainance, perhaps trying different things with terrain painting and debug items to make custom trimming could be a nice start though since now that we got plataforms we have so many ways to make intricate gardens, maybe trying to make some sort of fancy park as a way to spill out some ideas could be a nice exercise for yourself

I love the cactus landscaping!! One thing though, typically cactus grow in dirt and not grass. If you chose a different terrain paint like brown/orange dirt they will stand out a bit more against it and it will be more like what you see in AZ/desert landscaping :)

As a landscape architect I recommend looking at the other lots and what kind of plants and shapes they use in the whole neighborhood. That’s basically what you would also do in reality so that everything fits well together

Well so first, I love her little epiphanies when she placing the windows. I have an alternative though: Can you take the window she placed in the kitchen and make it is a door? Like to the backyard? I think you would be able to because she has countertops next to the door and not a sink or the oven anything that your Sims need to interact with if someone were to live here? This is just a brainstorm but I like that area of the house and the layout is nice. Personally, I have just gotten into the habit of having an active backyard/ front yard when using a Tiny Home because of the limited space inside the house. I like to put a backdoor in somewhere so that my Sims are not stuck at the front door but that is just personal preference.

i like using platforms to restrict rooms and portions of rooms by age, like making a small, very raised room with the refrigerated display from get to work. i can just drag a party sized mac and cheese from an adult's inventory and put it on the display. solves the issue of parents taking the food from the toddlers instead of grabbing something from the fridge. then, you could also have a kid's room that their teenage sibling can't enter. it's a cool concept and I think simsie would have some way better ideas for it than me

I really wish they would update the ice cream maker, the popcorn maker, and the drinks tray from spa day to make them drag-able in live mode. The hot pot and lemonade tray being able to be stored when you aren't using them makes those things so much more useable!!
