“He was alive yesterday” was the MOST heartbreaking line in Criminal Minds! I cried like a baby when he said that, and the ACTING of that dad made it seem SO real.

“He was alive yesterday” fucking tore me apart in ways I didn’t even know was possible. I literally cannot even imagine the amount of pain and heartbreak those parents would feel knowing that he’d been alive all these years just to barely miss him by literally a few hours I just- ugh I can’t ✋😭

YES, i agree, this episode definitely deserved to be on this list. Just a little fact, matthew went to (and graduated from) nyu for directing and was not meaning to become an actor. CM was his first audition and he got the part. Also, he was ranked as a top 50 worldwide model while in college. At this point, i'm giving a biography, so i'm going to stop. Anyway, i loved the review as always

One of my favorite episodes. So many satisfying moments. My favorite was Charlie stepping off the elevator. And I know its terrible, but Stephen's parents being so hurt after the way they treated Charlie's mom...just a fan fav.

Ugh. This is the first episode of CM I saw. I was visiting my parents over a long weekend when this originally aired and my mom was watching. The ending still sticks with me. Years later I watched the series and this episode stood out.

What the heck?! How did I not know about this channel! I love criminal minds, and I’ve always wanted a friend to watch them with! So this is the next best thing! And it’s funny because your title hits home with this one. There’s a few episodes of the show that I can only sit through once. I remember this one vividly, especially the ending, and I don’t need to see it again. But it’s interesting to see that you felt the same. It’s both heartwarming and heart wrenching at the same time! I’m glad you found your channel, and I look forward to checking out the other episodes with you!

I’ve always been sheltered in a very safe medium sized town so that’s why I couldn’t understand them, but yeah like I said, the older, aka more mature I get, the more I understand.

I can't imagine how I would be in this scenario if this my son but having kids makes you a nervous wreck even without these worries. I'm sure the little buggers do it on purpose in most cases just to see how far they can push you before you lose your freaking mind. 1 second they're on one side of you, you take your eyes off them for 1 second and they vanish. You have a panic attack in the second it takes to look on the other side of you and they think it's hilarious you've just had a mini-heart attack. I never took my eyes off my kid in a crowded space or within close vicinity of strangers (including other children) and never when he was really little and it still shit the life out of me. (2-year-old James Bulger went missing when I was 5 (I had 2 younger siblings, including a little brother), it traumatised me and shook an entire nation and I still remember the news reports. The perpetrators were 2 little boys, just 10-years-old themselves. It was horrific and now 30+ years later and as a mother myself, it's even more heart-breaking and rage inducing. It didn't have a good outcome.)

I wonder what the motives of the Roycewoods were? "Mosley Lane" has to be the only episode or at least, one of the very few that doesn't really delve into the psychological profiles of the Unsubs. One of the best, most riveting episodes; like everyone else, the "he was alive yesterday" never fails to absolutely shred me.
