This gave me flashbacks to before LoD released, and my best equipment was usually rares socketed with perfect gems. LoD really changed things up. But it's fun to see a rare only run, reminds me of that time.

I wish they improved what mods can spawn on rares. Imagine if you could have rare weapons with crushing blow. Or rare belts with phys % dmg reduction

@@JN-hs5xl there are mods that do that, for both D2 Classic and Resurrected. I play Project Diablo 2 on classic, and I'm just starting out on ReModded for Resurrected.

So glad to have found these challenge videos. I have just killed normal baal for yhe first time in my life with my bone necro. My first ever attempt was with a barb, with the hard copy of lod, i ground ten levels to kill Duriel only to get and stay stuck in hell, quit the game and uninstalled. Didn't come back until d2r. I however did almost complete It lurks below with a necro. Superfun game from Brevik.

That deeds was your fault! Why did you stay in that room?? 😬 Any time your merc, valk etc get killed in hardcore, get the hell out of there! Get back to a safe area and regroup, recast, guzzle some pots etc, then draw the monsters out of the deadly room one at a time and kill them safely when you have a full party... Great video! 👍

I play a lot of rare only on modded servers like Path of Diablo, where you can create pretty good stuff and have a high ceiling for farming over a long time. Always liked rares the most, the unique and runeword grind gets dull fast.
