Great vid! Interesting point about scale in the grim darkness of the far future! The incongruity between the sizes of IG regiments and the feats they accomplish in lore (the Tanith First, for example) is tongue-in-cheek mocked within the fandom more broadly, but nobody looks at the Emperor’s New Clothes all that closely. One thing to keep in mind is that the scale of the other arms of the military often flips the other way (when compared with modern warfare). The Imperial Navy, for example - where a Lunar Class Cruiser boasts a complement of 95000 people (compared to a WW2 heavy cruiser with a complement ~800). As such, I suppose when thinking of the 40K Drake Equation, there’d need to be an additional factor relating to “of your uniformed military, what proportion are infantry, armour or artillery” (the branches which map to the IG’s responsibilities).

i'm glad that this season really enfissived how good lalatina is as a waifu. aqua is too much like a sister, and megunim is too much like a child. i've been a darkness stan since season 1. i buy in that kazuma can fix her.
