Annakin was trying to teach Ahsoka that she needed to let go of the survivor's guilt and the things she had to do as a CHILD soldier during the war. But she is so obsessed with how she feels like her abandonment of Annakin led him to becoming Vader and her fear that she would become him because he trained her that she's built up so many walls and become so hardened because of those fears. That's why she walked away from training Sabine and refused to train Grogu. So Annakin gives her what she needs and essentially becomes Vader to show her how she's doing the exact thing she's fearing and giving her a choice to choose the light (to live, both metaphorically and literally), like Luke helped him do (you're more than that, because I'm more than that). Annakin has fulfilled the prophecy at bringing balance to the force and shows that he can move between accessing the light AND the dark side without either being dominant over him. This ep has SO much packed into it. Loved it.

Wow. Great insight . I also liked how you said Anakin fulfilled the prophecy of bringing balance to the force. That really opened my eyes because It never clicked to me until you said it. New Rockstars has a great breakdown of this episode but you also hit the nail on the head. Ahsoka's final lesson from Anakin was that she had to face the same decision he did against Dooku as well as Luke vs Vader...whether to kill and follow the dark (die), or submit and follow the light (light). Ahsoka needed closure which her battle with Anakin/Vader during Rebels did not provide when Ezra saved her. This is basically the conclusion of that battle. Now she is free to live her life with warrior skills, without the burden of a constant warrior mentality.

And I agree. Ahsoka needed closure. I completely forgot that this is the conclusion to her meeting Vader in Rebels because she never got a chance to finish because Ezra snatched her out.

A Vietnam Vet here. I was lucky in that I loaded bombs in Thailand on B52s for the war and saw no combat. The point is that many young children fought in that war and were maimed or died.

I'd say Hera can channel the force to a slight degree. That's why she's such a great pilot. I don't remember where I heard it but I have heard the same thing said about Han solo.

Yeah, it was The Battle of Ryloth, Along side HERA SYNDULLA'S Father for Ryloth's Freedom.... And second one was THE SEIGE OF THE MANDALORE to capture MAUL, not The Purge.... THE PURGE OF MANDALORE was happened after THE EMPIRE took over the galaxy..
