Sometimes I carry a snubby as a primary edc. It’s comfortable, lightweight and most importantly- on me!!

A good friend of mine was a tunnel rat in vietnam. He would not trust a 45 in one of those tite tunnels. To many things to go wrong or forget not to mention trying to maintain a proper grip on the grip safety. He would only carry a 38 that he retrieved from a downed chopper seeing that the pilot was no longer in need of it.

I carry a bodyguard 38 and two belt carried speed loaders as a backup edc to my 1911 officers model of my XDS 45. I added a houge grip. Much better feel when shooting.

What blue force gear holster are you using as they don't have one that's specifically for the bodyguard 38?

I just ordered the Hogue grip for mine, the junk plastic grip it comes with is worthless. I carry mine appendix

Previously asked, but can you please confirm which design of Ultracomp holster you used in this? They are all sized for different semi-autos and the one in your video looks a little different than any of them.

If you're carrying a snubby in your jacket pocket in a pocket holster (so it can't be fired through the pocket), explain how this is better than a single stack-ish 9mm also in a pocket holster, also in a jacket pocket. If I can carry this gun that way, I can carry a SIG P365 the same way, and have more than twice the round count of a more powerful round. The ONE advantage the snubby MIGHT have with jacket pocket carry is the mythical firing through the jacket pocket. Carrying with a pocket holster gives that up.

Might try it... I did. An old jacket I didn't care about at the range...with and without the pocket holster (worked great both ways with a shrouded hammer snubbie - my favorite carry snub is a no-lock 442) I've carried a G26 with a G17 backup mag since 2008ish. As of today that's 13ish yrs. I have Glock patches on my Harley vest, Glock decals on my Jeep Wrangler, and I was an armorer in the infantry for my unit....I can't be more pro-Glock after all the problems I saw with the 1911 platform in the hands of soldiers who didn't get to fire them that much. (Range days were spent fixing as much as shooting) But, there has never been a time when I was without a snub...or two. My G43 is nice...but if I can carry the 43...I can just as easily carry the 26. They are so close in size. My G42 is a bit smaller...but really.. same deal, my G26 is about as small as the 42 and has the ability to take my 17 mags... a d I never liked the 43 or 42 in my pocket. I've tried the 43 and the 42 on the ankle, on my weak side, and even in a pocket, but neither carried as easily as a shrouded hammer snub...and of course, no malfunctions. No matter how I or anyone else hold or grab a snub (I have a half dozen I'll admit to stashed around the house) I've never, ever had a malfunction with a snub. Me or another shooter. While my Glocks are great for me with no external safeties or steps or grip dynamics to conquer just to get a first shot off...let alone clearing malfunctions with any pistol... .well, my family and other shooters I've taken to shoot HAVE had some malfunctions. Not the guns fault...but the operator. A little training and patience and they get it. But never, not even with a little 22lr revolver up to a 44 mag revolver...have I or anyone I've taken shooting ever had a single malfunction with a revolver. Being a sig guy, you already have your mind set I'm sure...but try it. If we are Blessed to live long enough, we will all end up with a revolver anyway! When when I'm 90 I don't plan on racking slides, lol. And if you do try a shrouded hammer snub...look into the old flat wad cutter loads. Cuts a nice clean hole and no worries on firing from clothing. Snubs are up close guns anyway and I love my wadcutters for what they do... punch a clean hole and they penetrate multiple layers of denim and clothes better than anything else I've tried. I'm hopeful for all of us we can continue to have all the 2A choices we have...its a tough time for that coming up... but enjoy shooting!
