Nader 'Lionheart' Hamdan is a legend of the boxing world, in 2003 he was ranked number two in the world in the middleweight division, just behind Oscar De La Hoya. But Nader's rise to the top wasn't easy, he was troubled and violent in his youth, in part one he talks about his years in a juvenile detention centre after an incident with a policeman's gun. #truecrime #boxing #podcast

The first time I met Nader was in Juvi, He had done his time and turned his life around and he came in to Juvi to talk to the boys. He was the first person that I ever listened too. I think its coz he had lived that life so I took what he had to say seriously. One of the best brother's I ever met. Much Love and Respect to you Nader. M H

I only hope that you are truly, justifiably proud of yourself 👍. It would have been incredibly easier for you to go down the dark path, you clearly have an amazing inner strength and self respect. I don't even know you and yet I have a deep admiration of you having seen this, your parents obviously fled the uncertainty of their native land in the hope their children would know peace. As with anyone, ANYONE, if you lie down with dogs you get up with fleas, it's easy to do, often subconsciously. Well done Nader 👍. As an Australian of 1st fleet heritage, I am certainly 100% proud to call you an Australian and thank you to your parents for choosing Australia to raise their family in peace and relative security 👍🤗

I remember growing up in the 90's before punchbowl boys even existed their was Nader and his boys, They were called the Markville Legends and they were known for punching on, Not like now, they use guns, Back then if you had a name it meant you could put them together. The good ol days, Bring back the biff..
