I remember Ray, from when he was about 16-18 years old. He was intelligent and thoughtful. Told me how he would look around at all the people in the inner city areas of Sydney where he was living, all going about their “normal happy lives” and that he wanted that too. Hope he’s on his way to having some of that now with his own family.

Why did a coey of mine spend almost the last 4 years of his laggin on segro coz he refused to go on protection & due to duty of care corrective services wouldn't allow him back out in a main yard?. So 4 years he spent one out on segro, got out & on return to prison doing another laggin he went straight out to the main, new laggin??. No one wants to sit one out on segro for years, but sometimes you have to sit it out, or it's the boneyard??.

I miss that life hardcore. I've done 9 years in jail and i loved every minute of it, the prison fights, the stabbings, the good times, hanging out with the boys, everything. Abd i got the scars to prove it. But when my daughter was born i had to take responsibility and change. So i been straight and out of trouble ever since. Its been 17 years now. But i miss it, i truly do.

This is as real as it comes. I lived in Redfern my mum had a spot in suicide towers. I was lucky I lived in a house of heroin use & surrounded by it, blazed plenty of dottys but never took the next step. I couldn't count the funerals I have been to & still wait on calls daily from my fam caught in this awaiting the call for the next funeral. This shit is a virus & once smack got you it never leaves, lifetime career. You'll never travel nothing you gotta be at arm reach from your smack for life, till death do us part. Don't ever fuck with that smack shit it eats you alive for real. Big up this night help these young lads understand the real picture.

I was locked up with ray. He was a good friend of my brother who is a shot caller in w2k. Ray is a good bloke. Not all people in w2k are Aussie because my brother is an aboriginal. My brother was one of the guys involved in the stabbing at Goulburn and he got 7 years for that incident . He's still in jail for another stabbing at parklea. He'll be out in November next year if you want him on your podcast. He has some wild stories.
