Great to see you exploring outside your comfort zone & targeting the larger species out there 👍🏻 You definitely don't need to just fish the end of the jetty to get big fish & there's many other float & sinker setups to target fish/sharks. Also try fishing off breakwaters some great fishing to be had there too, although with your moonboot a bit harder to access at the moment. Keep at it & looking forward to you chasing more big fish & maybe even one day catching Gyarados 😉

Do a temu survival challenge. No budget but you get the biggest backpack they have and whatever will fit in it. Rod, lures, shelter, sleeping bag/pad, saw, fire starter, just whatever you find. Rule is must be temu and fit inside the backpack.

If a pier has kingfish that allows casting lures at the front, I'd use a size 14 Xrap for kingfish on 9-10ft spinning gear
