Rob you may want to check out your local Tractor Supply Co. They carry the large watering troughs for live stock you may be able to get what you need at a better price.

Always carry twine. Extend the length of the ties, or anything else that may come up. Also, in case of catching air breathers, attach floats, such as some sort of hollow ball, to the top to try to keep it up near the surface. I have battled raccoons...raspberry rum may or may not have been involved. Rabid is not feral, rabies is a virus that kills. That one is likely, being in a suburban neighbourhood, acclimated to humans, and sees them as a source for food.

Why wouldn't you bring string with you......things that make you go hmmmmm !!!
@AhNee Жыл бұрын
@@kevinmudd6888 I drive rez rockets, so I practically have to carry enough to rebuild the whole freaking vehicle, and those things come in handy elsewhere, as well! Of course, the rope, the trash bags, the shovels, the duct tape, knives, etc, might give cops a reason to raise an eyebrow...

Fantastic catch Rob and Robbie, all those iridescent sharks and albinos! And putting that rare “cart fish” aside-great catch. So glad you get to keep your catches now and do what you enjoy doing, and you finally have a place to stay! Hope you had a Merry Christmas and hope you have a blessed New Year!

Get a couple of red white bobbers and attach them to the line of your fish trap. That way when you put it in the water, you will always have access to the line because it will be attached to about never have to worry about losing your fish traps again.

Rob, you should get 550 parachute cord to tie to your fish traps! 550 lb tensile strength so you won't have to worry about the line breaking/fraying etc... you could have yanked the shopping cart out with it. 100 ft. is not that expensive. I have seen people pull engine blocks using 550 cord.

I was wondering how much weight the cast net would hold. Now that you've caught a shopping cart with it, I'm no longer concerned about that! That camera is really handy! Some of those fish you catch have fins which really rip up those nets (as well as hands)! The chiclids look really happy!

Take the shopping cart and any heavy metal to the junkyard and sell it. You will be surprised how much $ it is. Take the $ and make decent traps that won't fall apart. Those small traps keep falling apart. ❤
