Hey Rob, since you don't have a top for the 300 just put a piece of plywood across it...... It will keep your fish safe until you get a proper top.....

You are very welcome rob glad to help you get your tanks going
@jessicaneal72469 ай бұрын
You should put netting over your deck like Josh has at the fish farm, if you are so reluctant to put lids on your tanks. It looks like you’re willing to risk your fish’s safety and you just keep getting more it comes off like you don’t care about them at all. at least then they would be safe…There are bigger birds or even raccoons that could easily grab and run off with those fish even the big ones.

ROB, I see you have outdoor aquariums I've been keeping aquariums outside for the past 2 yrs. The ( DIRECT SUNLIGHT + LEFT OVER FISH FOOD) you're going to get massive algae blooms especially with the SUMMER right around the corner. Youre going to be doing (WATER CHANGES) 2 to 3 times a week on those tanks which is going to get pretty annoying and also going to be ( TIME CONSUMING AS WELL) and with all the tanks you have to maintain the outdoor ones will be the first to get neglected. In my opinion if you can move those outdoor tanks inside it will be less maintenance for you or if that's not an option here are some TIPS to help you manage the outdoor aquariums. TIP #1 :Go to the dollar tree get black or blue poster board ( CUT TO SIZE) to cover the back and sides of the aquarium galss and use duck tape or packing tape to apply the poster board & (WRAP THE TAPE AROUND THE POSTER BOARD TO SHEILD IT FROM THE RAIN AND SUN). TIP #2: Buy a TARP & VELCRO STRIPS. Attach 3 velcro strips at the top and bottom just above and below the( VIEWING WINDOW) on the black trim of the aquariums. Cut the tarp to the size of the viewing window attach the velcro strips to the tarp and attach the tarp to the front of the aquarium. This way you can COVER and UNCOVER the front of the tanks at will to control the sunlight and algae blooms. Also add Heaters to aquariums and turn them on during cold fronts. TIP #3: Build a (DIY OVERFLOW) out of PVC PIPE to help you with water changes. Build it to the length you want and drop it in the tanks and walk away and allow it to remove the water for you & then come back( WHENEVER YOU WANT) and add the water back into to your aquariums. This way you don't have to sit around waiting for the pump to drain the water from your outdoor aquariums and( IF YOU FORGET THAT YOURE DOING A WATER CHANGE) you don't run the risk of emptying all the water out of your tanks and harming your fish. Best of luck also ...I SHOW YOU HOW TO BUILD a DIY OVERFLOW ( PONDSAGA5) 👌 best of luck!!

The big pufferfish probable got the little one, and it might attack the other fish in the tank too. The love shrimp and snails, and they really need snails for their beak, it is not fun trying trim a puffers beak. You can feed it frosen stuff, like shells and so, most puffers need brakish water as they adult. The stones/rocks that are full porus, should be kept wet, as they become a bomb, as dead bacteria die, stuck inside all those little holes, also the ones you showed, will elevate the pH,GH and KH in the water, so you need to keep an eye on water parameters when adding them in, also driftwood lowers the hardness of the water, and low KH/GH, means unstable pH. Just be aware of such. Now that it is getting warmer, I would try to feed the Momma some pieces of talapia or such. They do use their smell to find food, and they aren't really active hunters, but opportunists.
