Honestly i wish more people did that when hauling and unhauling books. Especially with hauls because like everyone on booktube buys the same things so you end up hearing the synopsis over and over again. Lol

You can get rid of books that were gifted if you didn’t enjoy them, if I had gifted someone a book and they donated it for whatever reason, I’d feel like my gift went even further and would hopefully make someone else happy

I don’t think anyone begrudges you getting rid of gifts, especially if you’ve lost interest in them or didn’t like them. It doesn’t take away from how genuine and lovely it is to receive it.

When I'm unhauling books, I always like to imagine someone being so excited to find it and it helps ease the guilt of letting it go. I'm making people happy by unhauling! Especially full series! 😁 I think I like unhaul videos more than haul videos. I don't know why. 💜

If you’ve read a book someone gifted and didn’t love it, I think they would understand you passing it on. I know it is awkward and stressful but I don’t think they would be upset. If that helps? 🤗🤗🤗

this happened with my gift recently and I felt a lot worse knowing that the person was forcing themselves to read something they didn't enjoy and ended up in a slump. I had to force them to let it go in the end, I was happy they were so grateful, but in the end we were both happier with the book going somewhere where it was appreciated more :)

I think you should be able to unhaul books that were gifted but you have read and reviewed already! Especially if you didn't enjoy the book! I think people just like knowing that you read a book they sent you and hearing your opinion on it.

Unhaul the gifts! There are only two reasons I can think of that people would send you gifts - 1. They think you would enjoy it. 2. They want to hear you review it. If you've read it and didn't enjoy it, you tried, but it's okay to give it away. They will understand if they actually care about your happiness/enjoyment of the books. If you read it and reviewed it, that completed that purpose as well.

Well done this was clear so hard. Absolutely goid shout on unhauling Sookie, first 4 were fun, but not the best and then they rapidly go down hill and Sookie gets very annoying and "poor me" so in my opinion you are not missing anything. Stay strong Gav, you can do this!
