Dalle 2: "human emotion" you pick can pick the emotion( hope, sadness, anger, joy, love etc) but I wonder how AI would interpret that in art considering it can only understood emotion as well as we can explain it. And often art expresses emotion through a wide range of techniques. I wonder if it could capture it. So prompt it for example "sadness"

Its too late to be scared of technology, we are just now automating things that have around for decades. Anything Ai can do, a human can do with a computer. This means people have been able to do all these things that Ai can, for decades now! The Ai simply speeds up the process and like I said automates things. Also, I hope you don’t believe these machines can actually think? Just in case: Spoiler Alert: They cant.

It only gets worse from here on out bro. It was always hard for artists. But this is something else completely. I think if youre not doing something super niche that this AI cant replicate (like drawing character concept art in the likeness of the client for example) then yeah this is going to kill off alot of artists ability to make money. Background artist especially, and conceptual artists that dont have to draw in the likeness of a particular clients face are going to get absolutely wrecked by this. It’s already happening now on fiverr. For as little as just £15 you can get master level AI background/concept art… *in seconds* whereas an actual artist may have charged say £100+ for that level of work that would taken them maybe 15+ hours to produce. and then what happens when another AI is released that is allowed to do real human faces in any style? Manga, comic book style, realism etc. then it’s over for those artists too. It’s soon to be a wrap for everyone!

DALLE 2: "Jazza avatar riding a dragon in the style of Japanese woodblock painting" I think that would be pretty awesome, especially if you also did a prompt like that and compared the two results. I've not seen you do classic Japanese woodblock paint yet. Also hey, by chance I clicked on the video notif like right after it appeared. Neat. I am definitely gonna try to sign up for this too, because previous AI arts have never quite been good enough IMO but if it really is that good....I can only imagine the applications for it as an artist, especially if it does backgrounds in an anime/manga style.

I think A.I. generated art would be great if they allowed functionality to have it remember/save specific images you've generated, and have the A.I. remember/re-use those assets when you generate new work. Like you could spend a day generating 100+ designs for a character, find one you particularly like and then save it as "Hero_1" or something, and then generate new images which include that previously generated character. Which would help speed up storyboarding/concept art, or possibly even open the way for doing comics in the future if you can gradually get the A.I. to basically be trained to recreate designs consistently. Now while I don't think it would necessarily make the whole process automated, it would probably just make it easier to generate a scene that you could then go in and trace/re-draw over in another program to make your references consistent and quicker at least.

There is a program called "dream by wombo" you give it a prompt and it creates a picture. I think this could be a cool video. You could do things like -make an artwork, and try to get the program to recreate it -think of a prompt and make an artwork of what you think the program will make Or -get a prompt and both you and the program make an artwork, and get someone else (e. G. Your son) to guess which one you made.

I have that program and I love seeing what it comes up with. Even in the same prompt and style, you'll get dozens of different images and you get the option to order prints of the images it creates for you which I think is really cool as it allows access to unique art to everyone with a more manageable paywall than art galleries.

I think an ai, human duo is the best way to go about it. Art should be a way to creatively express yourself, to visualize and conceptualize your ideas. An artist could flesh the works more out, combine multiple ai generated works like photobashing, improving an artworks composition, maybe using ai as an inspirational tool. Art is in the future is less going to be about technique and perfecting your craft and more about having a certain vision, a certain idea, a certain image that you try to translate into reality with skill needed for adjustments. Everybody is going to be more of an art director than an artist in the future essentially. Which I think is awesome.

Dalle2 request: "A wolf in all the colors of the rainbow in watercolor style that fits in the palm of one's hand" For a bit of context, P'tit Loup (meaning little wolf) was my childhood imaginary friend, I described him as a wolf that fit in the palm of my hand. One day when I was four or five, I was painting and when my father asked what I was painting I told him it was a portrait of P'tit Loup, my father sat next to me and decided to paint his own portrait of my imaginary friend using all the clues I had ever given of his appearance. My own painting was a great number of splotches of many different colors with no descernable shape, wolf or otherwise, this is because P'tit Loup would camouflage himself to stop anyone but me from seeing him. My father used all the colors I'd used to paint a front facing sitting wolf (in a realistic style, though I'm quite sure the wolf was ginning cheekily out to the viewer) resulting in a lovely painting of a wolf with fur gleaming with blues and greens and purples and yellows. Both portraits hung on my wall for years. Sadly after multiple moves I've lost track of both, I hope I'll stumble into them someday as I'm sure no one would have ever thrown them out. It would be interesting to see what an AI would do with the same clues my father had in recreating an image of my Little Wolf friend.
