I really love your work. I found your KZbin videos about two months ago or so. I'm really glad I did. What you are doing it's something I want to start doing. My problem is that people with guitars and that kind of shape still think they her worth more than they are. One person whose guitar was as bad if not worse shape than the one in this video wanted what he originally paid for it! He claimed it's a classic and he knows what it's worth. After six months online trying to stop it. The price was dropping every single week. I refuse to buy it even when it dropped to what I originally offered him. Weeks before that he had sent me an email and told me we could work out a deal. I just never responded. Look forward to watching more from you.

@@TeleCaster66 A career that started back in 1980 after I had graduated from a luthiery school in my native France 🙂 You might be older than me but I'm not a kid anymore either although I wish I still was 🙂 I don't know which country you come from but in France and Europe in general ( and in Japan too it would seem ) people love to "customize" ( or completely mess up ) their guitars and then they'll often come crying to people like us to fix them...Either that or they'll find these on yard sales or "flea" markets... That said maybe the Japanese have taken trashing guitars to a much higher level 🙂 who knows ? Have a good day Sir

12:33 I've found a good way to clean these small parts is to use some fine beach sand mixed with water and some industrial hand cleaner. Put these all together into a small plastic jar and shake together until the parts are clean. Works very well and doesn't leave many deep scratches compared to a wire brush.

@@mrbuttons1243 when I first tried it, I figured that if the soap was mild enough for skin, it's would be ok for screws etc. At work, I have been rebuilding a large, poorly maintained CNC grinding machine which has many small parts I have cleaned this way. Very effective and leaves a lovely bright finish.

That’s a cool old Greco and sneaky genius how they camouflaged the bolt on design they could’ve put a strap button on the one exposed neck screw and hid it even more. I wonder if they thought early on Gibson were hiding neck hardware ? Possibly they built some of the early Grecos based off photographs ? I never realized that some of the Japanese bolt on LPs were like that, it’s very cool though. I don’t think a well designed neck joint is in anyway inferior to set and neck through. In many ways a bolt on is better especially if you ever get into modding and changing bridges you might need to change your neck angle a bit.

Something tells me this is one of those channels that makes things look dirty just to clean them up. The fact that the screws from the back of the guitar were rusted out all the way down the entire length of the screw, even the threads in the body. Or how the fuzz/dust was perfectly placed on the bridge, and the fact that every video of every guitar has the exact same wear, damage and corrosion.
