That's really true. Also, when I'm climbing something at my limit and the fear hits, sometimes all it takes is to take a controlled fall to reset. Feel that trust in the gear, adjust the headspace, then shift back into the body and flow through to the send.

I’m so proud of you Michelle!!!!! It’s so inspiring to see you face and conquer your fear like that!! You killed it!!! Every time I watch one of your videos, it makes me want to do the thing you’re doing, even when it’s something I’d never considered before. You’re truly incredible for putting yourself into all sorts of uncomfortable and different situations.

Hi Michelle, I am really sorry to hear that you have some scary memories with your past as a cyclist. But if indeed for someone who is defensively overcautious with scary things..you are doing INCREDIBLE. You always push yourself to do scary things, you challenge yourself quite literally! I don't know you but I somewhat feel so proud of you, and -dang- you should be too!!!! But not a little, like VERY proud! ..And by the way, you are one of the best creators in the whole youtube, your pushing yourself always with grace, strength and kindness is an inspiration!!

One of my fav episodes you've ever done. I lost my fiance in 2017 and my father four months after. From that I've gained a fear of driving, heights, flying, among others which i never had before. Yes that comes with getting older and no longer having the fearlessness we had as kids, but its largely due to the pain of the loss and seeing how it affected his parents.I have a fear of anything happening and putting my mother through the same thing. But this was a great motivator for me. This year on my 30th birthday I'll be older than my fiance and I want this year to be full of adventures and pushing myself to step out of my comfort zone. Love you Michelle, you have 😊been such a big part of my life since the og buzzfeed days

Girl when you were freaking out on the height I kept saying "You can do this. I know you can push through. You've helped so many people who were having a hard time doing something. Now it's your turn to use it as well. Let his words get to you and your own positive words" I knew you could always push something and I know your strong to fight it. Your a strong powerful women. Use that in difficult times! When you made it to the top I was 100% crying!! I'm so proud for pushing your fear away!!!!!

successfully climbing outdoors in your first week of climbing with an intense fear of heights is extremely impressive. it's not an easy thing to do in general, but with those other factors, it's wild. Amazing, Michelle. You really killed it.

My first time rock climbing was probably the most terrifying experience I had ever subjected myself to. Simultaneously-- the reward of completing my very first wall has been one of the most gratifying! I'm by no means a skilled or experienced rock climber-- but i feel like even with my limited experience i could understand that stress and fear throughout the video. How inspiring to break through all of that doubt, and accomplish something you thought to be impossible. ❤

Well you did it, not the climb, but facing your fears and most importantly, making (me) a grown a** man cry. LOL Tears of joy that is. You are amazing! I have followed you for a couple years now, but never knew you were a professional cyclist (maybe I overlooked it). Now I see where that natural competitive drive come from. I honestly think this is your best one yet. You went deep within to face the demons of your past. Its a lesson we all can learn from. Continue to live your best life.

I started climbing about two months ago. I think im addicted. It is such a supportive activity. I am SO much better than I was two months ago. I've never been very physically active, or light on my feet. Climbing has given me something to live for. I know that sounds silly, but each time I complete a route that I couldn't before, it's truly a good feeling for myself.

I also started climbing like 2-3 months ago! I thought it would just be a fun little thing, but I love it. I'm working on V1s and V2s now, as someone who never had any upper body strength it's been awesome to feel strong and accomplished!
