I can't remember who( i think prof akali) did a video on why ranked is a lie and they found that there was a huge corelation between climbing elo and games played and anybody playing like under 1k games per year have less than a 1% chance of getting above gold. The main reason being the huge influx of people in the low elo and that unless you're playing many games a day you lose more elo than you win regardless of streaking. If you play say 3 games a day and only lose 1, your elo still remains pretty much unchanged say for a few points ( single digits)
