Ludwig's biggest and most easily fixed issue, is that he has no sense of how valuable time is. As a league player, but especially as a jungler, you should feel anxious when wasting time. When you sit in that bush and you have camps up, that should feel terrible and make you want to go do something productive. If you do not develop that habit and anxiety over wasting time, you will constantly find yourself two levels and an item behind. None if your plays will work because you are half the champ that the enemy jungler and sololaners are. Ludwig needs to start internalizing that it is a better gank for the game, if you clear your camps and just chunk the laner by 30% hp and then base... Than it is to spend 30seconds in a bush when your camps are up, waiting for a gankable lanestate to get a kill. Worst case scenario if you die it's a game losing mistake. Best case scenario it's a suboptimal time wasting play. Ludwig also has to realize that "playing for a winning lane" does not mean you have to perma gank them. Usually you even can't unless you are confident about towerdiving. But what it DOES mean, is that you can now play in the enemy's jungle on that side of the map. If your bot has pressure, by being constantly pushed into the enemy tower. The enemy bot can't fight them 2v2 in any universe, and they are constantly chunked or without ults and sums. This here means that they can not assist their jungler if you invade his jungle. This means it is likely you can draw your support to help you kill the enemy jungler, or chase him off to get his camps. YOU can snowball by abusing a winning lane's pressure to take control of the map on their side and steal resources. Also you spending time in that side of the map counter jungling and warding, means that you are close enough to come counter gank. Making your dominating lane ungankable even if they are always pushed in. Better yet, with your help, that enemy gank or roam can turn into a complete game losing skirmish for the enemy. Where they feed even more kills to the already ahead carry in your team. And even if there is no gank or roam. You either win by constantly getting 3/4 of the camps. Or even better you kill the enemy jungler by using this lead. There is really nothing he can do, if he does not cross map your play. And if you remember to clear your own weakside camps off spawn timer, there is almost zero ways he can punish you. Apart from desperate forced ganks on the opposite side.

I know this is an old vid and I don't expect an answer, but what would you have done if you have a strong bot side, but started your clear bot? Would you try to change the start of your clear to topside or gank and then clear bot to top? Thanks!

I am starting to understand the strong side weak side concept, especially when my strong side is bottom lane and they are winning. But what happens when the weak side, top lane, is the lane that is far ahead and the strong side, orbot lane, is the lane that is behind and losing? How do I go about playing with my weak side? Do I full clear the weak side and then look to gank my top lane? Or do I look to gank top lane 1st and then worry about clearing the weak side after?

I asked Perry this exact question in a live Q&A a couple of weeks ago. Say you're clearing top to bot and looking to play towards your bot lane, but your bot lane start inting and you want to play around your top laner, who's winning, instead. Then, instead of full clearing towards bot, making a play bot side, then recalling, then repeating, you would full clear top to bot like normal, then, instead of making a play bot side, recall immediately, run to top side to make a play, and then return to your camps and clear top to bot, and then repeat. If there,'s an opportunity to change your pathong to bot to top, then you could do that, but if you're getting to all your camps on spawn, then you won't have the opportunity to change your pathing direction without wasting a lot of time.

weak side & strong side switch depending on the opposing junglers pathing direction.. its in a constant state of change.. & is really only relevant pre-6 when everyone is very weak

Once you get through certain mental barriers you will climb fast. This year I was stuck in bronze and then silver for a couple months, then suddenly went straight to Plat in something like two weeks after fixing some key things.

He has some knowledge now, sure. But his mechanics are genuinely iron level. Those Qs are aiming for the moon and his ults are pretty bad too. He constantly walks the wrong way and never dodges a skill shot.

Naaa his mechanics are silver level he has some great Qs and Ults and everyone misses skillshots its better to be ambitious over not shooting at all, even master players wiff the easiest skill shots and no one dodges skillshots in gold anyways. Whats iron level about him is how much time he wastes, as a jungler its important to always be productive ludwig can often be seen simply walking back and forth for 30 seconds at a time.

@ I stand by what I said. He only hits his q ever because it happens to have 2 charges. I didn’t even mention how on fiddle, he always burns both flash and ult together when there’s clearly a better angle to ult from. I agree about him wasting his time. That’s not as much of an issue with a coach now

i feel like knowledge is more important than mechanics, since mechanics can always come with repetition. Meanwhile, the main reason ppl get stuck in gold is coz of solid mechanics but no macro whatsoever

@@boringbone yes, of course. But a minimum level of mechs is required and I just don’t think he’s at that point yet. So many fights are made way too close or thrown by Lud alone because of a misplaced q or a bad ult (both on amumu and fiddle). It’s very entertaining but I have my reservations about his ability to reach plat
