@EnToiBeauty….OMG you answered all my ?’s ..your sista hair is similar to mine root wavy, curly, thick, body etc., I’m combining my front 8/3 too small..I’ve interlock several, combined and crocheted them together 🤗. I use to maintain my curls got tired 1st month and stopped…my grid is a must in front but don’t care about the back jus perimeter when pulled up…Started with 341 braidlocs down to 319 +/- but definitely combining 8/3 ..TFS

I'm glad I came across this video. My Sisterlocks were tiny as well and I had them "professionally" combined, but she did not try to maintain a grid pattern at all and I feel like I could've done it myself in that case. Now I'm in the process of at least trying to get back my center part. Thanks for sharing your process.

My microlocs are all different sizes and at first I was concerned but now it works. They are smaller in the back and thicker in the front. I only have about 180 ish and I have combined/lost a couple.

This was very well explained! Thank you because I'm about to do this for one of my clients. I imagined this would be the way to do it though. Your sister's locs are absolutely beautiful, combined or not and the boxes are not too off-sized... Question! Why are you considering these now microlocks, if you started them off and you're maintaining them as Sisterlocs? Is it because she now has less than 300 and to consider them Sisterlocs you have to have between 400 and 500?

I have the SAME density!! Feels good to see someone else with it. Can you show some of her styles. I can hardly style mine because it’s so thick. But I LOVE them!

Hi!! I appreciate this video as I am Leaning towards combining my sisterlocs to small traditional locs. Can I ask which method should work best twist or braids ? My loctician wants zero parts in my transition lol thanks 2:30a 10/1
@EnToiBeauty Жыл бұрын
The Best method will depend on your hair... curl pattern, density, etc. Here's my sister's journey where she transitioned from sisterlocks Sis Loc Journey: kzbin.info/aero/PL9n9_CTtcMkuEin4E9pT8ajsoeUVrcgJq

I have a client who's initial locks were established WAY too small for the density of her hair. We are going to combine to make them the proper size. How would you suggest pricing for both maintenance and beginning to combine? Do you charge a flat rate at each appointment and combine small areas at a time or do you offer a flat rate for maintenance and repairs in one? I want to make sure I'm being equitable in pricing but also fair to myself because it's ALOT of work. Ty!
@EnToiBeauty2 жыл бұрын
I charge by the hour so I'm compensated for my time. You can do it all in one sitting or do retie one day and combine another day. But whatever you do, make sure you're compensated for your time.

Please did you use the interlocking tool to merge or the crochet pin imagine someone who started with interlocking method wants to merge them its gonnabe strenuous
@EnToiBeauty Жыл бұрын
I used the interlocking tool to merge. But you can also crochet to merge. Just take into consideration size of locs and the tension on the locs

Oh how I wish she could gift me even fifty of those gorgeous locs and place on my the crown and front of my head! Then I would have the thickness I desire. Anyway I realize that what ever situation has its advantages and disadvantages so I guess we should all just work with what we have. Her hair and grid look really good even after so much combining. You did such a wonderful job. Wish I lived in near you so that you could sort out my locs for me.

I have a question so i did diy microlocs and i combine some locs cus some strands were thinning but now its been 1 year and all the locs that i combined feels like a rope sensation it’s weird and don’t know what to do. Is it normal
