The golden die upgrade makes it so you don't want to convert all of your energy into die rolls towards the end to make it less painful of an option. Losing over 100 rolls certainly hurts, but you were making enough energy to recover from that. But imagine how much energy you would have to convert into rolls afterwards if you didn't hoard rolls before the upgrade.

You need +1 to the small dice numbers. Having a 7, 8 or 9 is great but rolling 1s, 2s and 3s still bone you.

Not how this game works. Almost every run, DF picks up the reward that gives him energy for rolling higher than a 6. The only consistency that really matters in this game is the consistency of the tiles. For rolling, you just want to focus on what gives the most energy.

Its kinda painful watching him roll so many times. He easily could have gained way more energy in the first 5 minutes of the video by just buying the +1 dice side upgrades instead of spending 500 energy rerolling constantly, which would net both more total rolls and more rerolls in the long run by a LOT. Its also painful watching him not spend all his energy on rolls before hitting the golden tile and increasing the cost, seeing him do it RIGHT after increasing the cost is a little tilting.... Good thing I enjoy pain :)
