mhh. wonder if I can make it so I can control an RC snowplow from my room, since I got Raynaud's syndrome two years ago it's so painful in the winter to work outside in the winter in -20 C for an hour. It would be sick to make something that I just had to charge once in a while, and I know I can manage to do the mechanical part, but the electric part makes my brain hurt... You can get very high-quality FPV video by strapping and old phone to the RC car, connecting it to WiFi, and using the (built-in) Windows "Phone Link" to open the camera. Very low latency HD video on a full sized monitor. It's limited to wifi range (mesh helps), but that's usually shorter than the radio transmitter's signal, which means you still have control when signal drops out. Bonus, when mounted with the main camera facing forward, the selfie cam is a backup camera. If this phone also happens to have "Track Addict" or "Droid Cam" on it, you can view the camera with data overlays of GPS traces and whatnot. Really I was hoping to simply connect the phone via USB to a Nano, wire that to the ESC & Servo, and turn my S10 e-waste into a free RC controller with high-quality FPV, Wifi, Bluetooth, 4g, 5g, etc. Someone could write an app for that.
