I mean Slaughterhouse had their fanbase already Royce was big off Em's success with him in their early BME days 97/98/99 era then his attempt at mainstream when Dre fired him as Aftermath ghostwriter and his music with DJ Premier and beef with D12 until he reconciled with Em after Proof's passing, Crooked I had a following from Death Row days, Budden was a one hit wonder to me and Joell Ortiz was new to my radar but I think they had some star power before Em. Griselda I can see what you mean. WSG who is the weakest link in that crew was being a whiny little bitch about promotion and marketing. And Conway said some things about Em he shouldn't have and then tried to take it back. Benny was smart not to sign to Shady but even if Em had the whole crew + Daringer their beatmaker I don't think it would have stopped at least WSG from running his mouth and ruining a good thing. But with Shady 1.0 roster I don't agree. There's some behind the scenes stuff the casual fan doesn't know unless they research what all happened with these artists. None of it was Em's fault it was his label's and Jimmy Iovine's and he almost retired over it. He took shots on "Jimmy Cracks Corn" off his last release before his hiatus and almost retirement due to being so angry over it. Which I believe played a part into his heavy use of prescription drugs in his hiatus. Interscope broke up the band and let all his artists go,when they were in their prime and running the game. That was unfair to Eminem mostly who worked that hard to prove he could be on top but also unfair to 50 as well. Ca$his was a hard worker he put out an EP on Shady and so was Obie Trice but again after getting shot in the head and almost dying the label released him without input from Em or Paul. But some of those artists were lazy but they also didn't get a fair shot due to Jimmy and Interscope. Look at Stat Quo who was big in Atlanta. Hell, look at how 50 Cent left Interscope what happened there and they refused to promote _Street King Immortal_ so he leaked a _Detox_ song was forced to apologize to Dre chose to leave and then he straight cancelled his final album years later. That's why he scrapped it and transitioned to showbiz after leaving Interscope. He wouldn't be as big in music without that machine backing him. He tried with the free solo albums and G-Unit reunion independently and we all know how that turned out.

Eminem is hands-down, the greatest rapper in the history of rap music, and it’s not even close. From wordplay to technical skill to just making good music, he is leagues above everybody else. I hate when people say that he only talks about killing his mom and doing drugs, because if you really listen to his music, he talks about a lot of different things. What made hip-hop so special was that he gave Off the impression of authenticity, and that’s what Eminem gives you. He’s not rapping about selling 100 bricks or talking about killing everybody. If we keep it real 90% of these rappers out today are talking about stuff they never did and things they’ve never seen just because it sounds good.

I don’t think many are ok actually. Definitely sucked into it 😬😂. Snoop was in on it as well .. good team work about bs and snoop bringing the race card into it. Typical snoop, his mum was one of the original founders of black panthers that was a much powerful force “black life matters” group but also in disguise drug smuggling guns etc. it started out with good intentions but turned in on itself. Snoops mother was a leader and a serious drug addict to herion. His mother was a “freedom fighter” basically but couldn’t be a mother as she was on the “H”. Basically the black panthers turned against the white community as it’s understandable for what the blacks suffered back then in his mom’s days. They served a purpose for a time but like all good things it came to an end. Snoop was representing the “black culture “ when dismissing EM (dissing) and him not being black enough to be a rapper. lol but Rap is just a trap for black culture and poorer communities to full into the downsides of gang related crime.. Business for the privatised prisons. HIPHOP was destroyed by rap.. I got into the scene just as rap entered by NWA but still HipHOP was in. I was in the era when rap and Hiphop coexisted until rap basically dissed hiphop out. Not “hardcore “ enough. New agenda must arise and take over.

Shady Records, and Em by extension, hasn't really produced a huge catalogue of winners in rap. However, what Em did to get 50 out there cannot be ignored. Em cosigned the Ja beef, jumped in it and went to war, he promoted 50 and G-Unit and made them huge, and 50 delivered big time. 50 was HUGE when he finally popped. Shady Records has/had some amazing artists, but none have shined like 50. Ge Rich or Die Tryin' was an incredible album.

But at that time Em was the biggest artist in the world, and the fact he picked 50 basically to be in the limelight made 50! Not saying 50 wouldnt have been a success in life. But 100% believe the fact he got with Em and Dre made him a thousand times bigger then he ever wuddda been. I know for a fact most people wouldn't even know who 50 is without Em (certainly, 99% of white listeners). Em literally made 50 in the 2000s, and then with Crack a Bottle in 2009 or whatever (which won him an award). By himself, 50 was fairly big and would have been, but not nearly as big, wouldn't have won anything, and would have far fewer followers. Technically, the culture was already going in that direction, so rap would still be huge today and within white America/the West, but not nearly as much or as rapidly if not for Em. Just look at the record sales, etc. since 1997. It's all Em through 2008. There were some white rapper type groups in the 1990s, but they were smaller and not actively followed. Em was the first to do it right in the late-1990s.

50 is a man of respect, never bite the hand that feeds you. As aggressive and problematic he’s been,in the streets and in Hip Hop, he has never had a feud with anyone above him. He is number 1 but around ‘Em and Dre, he respects them . More importantly, he listens to his Elders, especially his Grandparents.

Eminem don't budge for nobody not even Dre if he doesn't want to & 50 lovin it 😂 Em also discoved 50 because they both so much alike & both relentless trolls thats why they so close ❤ 50 know Em is a boss like him & on the same type of playing field 💯

50 was being black balled.. If it wasn’t for Eminem the industry would’ve kept 50’s music buried.. Eminem pushed 50 past underground straight into the main stream
