House edge on free bet is ~1% and for decent rules Spanish 21 is like ~0.5 to 0.6%. Make sure you learn their respective basic strategies before playing though; poor Spanish 21 players can easily turn the house edge to >5%.

Labor Day I walked in with $200 and walked out with $2200. Went up $1400 in less than 10 minutes and then lost $800 on 3 brutal split double downs back to back. Spanish 21 that most casinos offer at low limits are carnival sucker games. Research the rules of most Spanish 21 tables before sitting at them - if you can find a high limit variation of the game with S17, 6D, 3:2, ReDouble and 6:1 pays for 5+ card 21 the casino only holds a 0.4% edge where as a lot of tables range in the 2-4% house edge

As expected (and predicted) after your last posted session, pattern betting recovered the nasty rollover and did great this time too. I guess the casino friend who has you betting multiple hands is the same tricky dick who recommended splitting 9s against an Ace. That weirdness increases your losses but this time you got away with it (49 wins vs 42 losses for the first base hands, which are the only ones I "play" along with in the model, and 68 wins vs 54 losses overall). You coulda won so much more, but it's your money, your choice! Thanks for the data.
