Just found your channel. I bought my 2018 1.5t in July of 2018. Love it! Here on YT, always see alot of Civic this and that, but rarely Accord focused things. Sad to see what happened to the beautiful Accord, but hey that just means another door is opening and you mentioned a new purchase. I am stoked!! Lets go!! Keep on fighting the good fight ❤️

It sucks for the next owner for this car. Not knowing there shave metals inside the engine... Unless u plan to keep it and replace the engine.

He sold the car. I know he cleaned it up but there's probably some metal shaving still inside the motor. That motor will probably need to be re-sleeves with new cylinder walls and need new pistons + rings. Only way to know is by taking the cylinder head off which you don't know if he did since he skips to the part where he drives to the dealership selling the car

@@c_k_lim I agree with you…it’s funny how fast he slapped the factory shit back on and b-lined it to one of those carmax type facilities where they will buy anything you bring in (and now days they don’t even drive your car due to Covid reasons..) so hopefully the next owner buys it with warranty or have about $10k put aside for engine/tranny replacement after all that hp/torque he was putting down ….crazy!

Sad end to a great project. The book of life is full of chapters; this chapter just came to an end. So, it's time to write the new chapter and go in another great direction. If you like Honda then, now's a good time to jump into a TLX Type S. (Seems like a natural progression.) Not the fastest car in its segment but there's a ton of interest in developing its aftermarket and companies like PRL are actively working on this product. If not, there are other great directions you can go in. Keep us posted!!

Awesome video , the build was a good project and your build was clean. I was gonna go the same route but these accords aren’t sport cars its just a taste of sport and more of a family car. I started having the same problems while building my accord, there’s so much that you can do but not worth the hassle at the end I ended up saving and buying a Nissan 350z single turbo and kept the accord as a family sport car. I hope you start a another project love your content and god bless 🙏

Got my 2021 this passed October after watching all your videos and seeing how much fun this car can be. Had a minor set back when wheels got stolen in early December. I used to watch all your videos for ideas. Honestly i lost respect when you gave up on the accord and grabbed a seat on the band wagon. The accord was awesome. You were pushing a platform and it worked. As we all know when pushing a platform things break. You fix it, learn from it and grow. The mistakes we make and the lessons from these mistakes is why cars are what they are now. I just felt disappointed when you gave up and found a seat on the civic bandwagon. According to joel when it breaks give up? 🤦‍♂️ good luck with the civic and the channel man.

I appreciate the honesty. I know it may have seemed like I gave up on the Accord because I broke it, but it wasn't that. It was the accumulated reasons that pushed me to take a break from it and plan the next move. The biggest reason - Future development. There was no future with the 10 speed transmission. There was no future with the XDI pump since there is no way for KTuner or Hondata to control it. When it's out of my hands, I can't really see a reason to have continued. I have endured with my S2000 and my RX-7 because there is a future there. As far as the bandwagon reference, you are entitled to your thoughts brother, but I have loved the FL5 since it was seen on the spy shots. The body resembles that of a baby Accord and it is what sold me on it. That, and the fact that it has a real future. I hope you understand my situation and why I went the direction I did. Either way, I really did appreciate you saying how you felt.
