Of course, Lucu and Jalibert clearly didn't have a good match and the Ghosts of Dupont-NTK are around... But the lack of tonus and aggressivity of the forwards was the real problem. In absence of Flament, Meafou and Tao the 2nd row was abject. Lucu was not able to play with confort behind a surprising passive pack. Lucu will maybe not be here in 2027, but Jalibert needs to control his game in this kind of adversity. A poor performance but a good lesson for the future.

I do think the change of the attack and line up assistants (Labit and Ghezal did a good job and they shoud have stayed ) has something to do with what we saw. And i am sure that Dupont deciding he had better things to do than to stay with the team had an impact on them we underestimate apart from the fact that he is so good. That being said, Ireland was superb and it was good to have the irish fans back in France!! Hopefully French team will bounced back. And I hope Cameron Woki will not be on the bench

Disagree completely, even with Dupont, NTamack, and even without the red card, France was always gonna lose this game. They don't win collisions like they use to do and that's the key. If you don't have the physic to win collisions, you will get crushed by Ireland every single time. France used to be very physical and clinical in attack (21/22) but this started to change in 2023. They rarely go over the game line after collision and they are even too slow on support or at least too slow against Ireland. France is a team that is losing momentum and has been for a while. They will not be winning the 6 nations until the next generation steps in (if they are any good). By the end of this year, France will be 5th or 6th in the world rankings and won't win anything until at least after the next world cup. This generation is done. I know my team very well.

Dupont missing was huge for France, Jelonch too. But Ntamack ? no, he has been average for years with France, last 6 nations he was awful

Yeah that's what happens when you pick Lucu at 9. Not even in the top 5 halfbacks in france. Plus the fact they don't run a structured attack and only rely on Dupont pulling strings from the base.

He's right about their form in that we beat them, then Scotland in friendly but Uruguay gave them some trouble in the group stages so yeah the flawless consistency wasn't really there.

the French players had almost no holidays after the elimination at the World Cup they played a lot in the top 14 and champions cup they are completely exhausted mentally and physically while the Irish players have were preserved many played 3-4 games with their provinces

Well look how much better the all blacks got when he started coaching them and I dare say Australia are about to get a whole lot better. The problem with Schmidt in the end was he didn’t trust the Irish players skills or decision making. I don’t think he’ll make that mistake with Australia
