It's annoying when you prepare to fit something and you end up with something totally different. At least it's only a little bit of patch work no harm done. Cracking work as always.

Thanks for the support as always mate, I was annoyed with myself on this job to be honest, In hindsight I probably rushed the first fix and wasn't as careful as I should have been, I was late getting in as all the walls had already been boarded so the whole job was a bit of a struggle, the hard work is done now though

Well Tom you definitely had a few problems on That little job To sort out .dose not help when your parts are missing . You did a good job with the bits you had . Yep know what you mean when you have to park your van miles away ..keep up the good work tom 👍👍👍👍

Thanks for the support as always John, it is one of the most annoying things when bits are missing, the lifts weren't working either so I had to carry everything up 4 flights of stairs, it keeps me fit though I guess,have a great weekend 👍

Hi Tom, another nice little installation there, it’s always a pain if you have to move the first fix but there is usually a solution and some patching up to do. As always you got the job sorted and it looked great in the end, well done mate. That's my Friday evening started properly again, thanks Tom. I got flat faced bent isolators from Screwfix a couple of weeks ago, might be worth checking if you need them again. The flooring guys love if when you leave the pan out for them, always gets a smile. Another good, keep it up😊.

Fitted a doc m today at a new fast food restaurant. Had to press a tmv surface mount under it though. Made it as neat as i could. Good video as always tom

It is tough to make them look neat when installing a tmv, I normally fit thermostatic taps instead now, I know they are a bit more money but do save a bit of time and look better, thanks for watching as always mate 👍

it is polypipe silicone spray adhesive, it tends to be a bit cleaner that normal lubricants, thanks for watching

Nothing that can't be patched up, I was annoyed with myself though as I do normally get things right, looking back I was under pressure when I first fixed the job and probably rushed it more than normal, thanks for the support as always mate

doc m normally has a sided basin so tap is close enough for them to reach from the toilet

I know mate, I put my pipes closer to the toilet for this reason, I have fitted loads and this is the first one where I've had the tap in the middle, it was a proper DOC M with all the grab rails so I just fitted it, thanks for watching as always

You had me when you lined that flexi up to your original first fix. Literally laughed out loud. They actually do a flat faced version of those isolations, I think I had them from MKM as I knew you use them :) Cracking video as always Tom its come together quite nicely, just curious why you've use tectite fittings on some of them, that's unlike you :P

Thanks for the support as always mate, I used a couple of tectite fittings because I didn't want to solder and set the fire alarms off, In these circumstances I would solder outside but the van was miles away, I do have a rems press gun but rarely use it, it was one of the first ones and is 110v so is a pain to lug around

Always a pain when you open up a boxto find parts are missing. Just hassle for you. And then to say it doesn't come with them parts, when it always does, is very annoying. It would try the patience of a saint!

I know the theory behind jetblue is the make sure you dont get leaks but why is it better than ptfe and is it a pain in the butt for the next guy to work on it? Interesting vid, enjoyed it

Jet blue isn't necessarily better than PTFE but is probably quicker to apply, jet blue is non setting so doesn't make the fittings any harder to remove, thanks for watching as always mate 👍

Never liked the compression fitting reducers , would rather an end feed fitting reducer . Odd basin as you say . Yes it's a WHB not a sink 😂😂 sinks in the kitchen

I changed it for a thermostatic tap in the end, I did this job a while ago and it was just easier than fitting a blending valve, thanks for watching as always 👍

Disabled toilets normally use a large lever handle to make them easier to flush, I'm surprised no one has come up with an infra red button to make life even easier, thanks for watching as always

​@@PlumbLikeTomsiamp do an infrared flush mechanism, screws in where your flush button goes and is powered off a 9volt battery in cistern. I'd imagine it wouldn't be officially approved for doc m though.
