That tin is a work of art, both inside and out! The newer half and half is ok but the rich flavor I am sure from that can will surpass the newer variation, enjoy 🍻

Age does wonders, this blend has a fair amount of Anise casing/top note, I suspect that's completely disappeared. But the aged burley cocoa notes sound terrific.

Glad to hear it was still air tight! I am looking forward to opening my aged can. Watching yous's makes me all the more excited! It's half burly, half Virginia. The original was a combination of Lucky Strick tobacco with Buckingham tobacco.

Half and Half is my favorite tobacco blend. Especially in a cob it has something magical. It’s almost Carmel popcorn to me. Yes newer H&H is just as good. I still have a tin of the American made. After that it’s on to the DR made.

Sounds like you found a new favorite! I am wondering if those metal bands to open the cans used to come with a little key like the old spam cans that you put the end of the band in the slot and turn the key? I have only tried half-and-half once so far and did not really care for it.

The extra tab on the bottom is to store the chuck key opener tool...it's by far thee best everyday pipe tobacco...bigtime flavor depth and cool smoking also at a fair price I might add. Pencil Led and Maple is what I get when smoked and the tin note is strawberry Jam.

LOL never heard anyone use pencil lead to describe a tobacco interesting. The fruit and sweet come through strong!

Beat me to it. Those tyoes of tins had a slotted key soldered (one drop of solder)to the bottom. THe tab fits in the slot and it is rolled around the circumference to open
