A filter doesn't make the smoke more clean, it cools the smoke, and helps buffer the heat of the smoke. It takes nothing away from the taste profile. I smoke with 9mm filters, and I can smoke any blends in any mood all day slow or fast, and I suffer no adverse bite affects. Tongue bite is a major problem for many experienced, or new smokers, and many novices give up the tradition of pipe smoking cos of serious bite problems. 9mm filters eradicate bite, and smooth out the smoke. best thing I did was start using 9mm filters. That being said Dr Harrelson is a fine chap, and has a good channel.

I have smoked Captain Black since the 1980s. Sometimes I smoke Lane BCA or 1Q. I’ve tried a lot of tobacco and found that Latakia is a difficult one to smoke. Like beer, it is an acquired taste. I used to get a new Peterson Christmas pipe every year, but I have since run out of space. I have several lighters. The butanes are convenient, but I prefer the Zippo pipe lighter. It looks like the classic Zippo, but with two holes in the side frames for lighting the pipe.

I sent this video to my mother because of the accent. Dear God I was not ready for what was about to ensue! She finds this so funny, she decided to message her cousin who inherited her father's pipes about them and asked for some photos to show me. Needless to say he doesn't send her pictures of them. He sends her his collection of pipes with multiple different tobaccos included in the package. I'm now the proud owner of 14 pipes. Some from my grandpa, some from my second cousin. These pipes are from Denmark, Sweden, germany, and everywhere in-between. I am now in a position in which I never would have expected. I don't smoke but now I have 14 pipes that are of considerable quality with tobacco from all over Europe, I belive. Is this a sign to start smoking pipes? Lmao. I'm tempted. Thoughts?

New pipe smoker questions: Have any pipe smokers ever tried a water pipe/bubbler? What’s your take on it? I find it to be a smoother cooler smoke. Also, the tobacco smells different in a pipe than it does if I smoke the same tobacco in a cigarette (coming from cigarettes to pipes, still learning). Any suggestions on tobacco? I notice the smell in the room, and the smell is different than when I would smoke cigarettes. I’d like a pleasant smell and a strong taste/nicotine hit. I use OHM because it’s cheap (rolled cigs with this for the same reason), I like captain black, and Paladin especially for the cherry smell, though I don’t taste it. I know these are cheap brands, any advise for the economically challenged?
@noammichaelovich968811 ай бұрын
Hey, I will try to answer your questions as best as possible. 1) I haven't tried a water pipe 2) I have never smoked a cigarette, But I think it does smell different even though you're smoking it through a pipe. the smell being accounted for is affected not only by its type or brand but it is affected by what you are smoking it out of, if you are smoking it out of a Briar pipe, It will smell different than a cigarette. the temp ur smoking also affect the smell of tobacco, usually cigarette smokers smoke at a higher rate than pipe smokers, affecting the smell. 3) Of course the smell is different, Pipe tobacco is usually way more natural than cigarette tobacco. depending on what kind of blend you're choosing to smoke, you will have a different smell. If you're a beginner, I suggest you don't start with an aromatic blend, like almost everyone else is. I find an aromatic blend burning very hot, which can cause tongue bite for an inexperienced smoker. Something like a Peterson Sherlock Holmes or Peterson Flake are good Virginia-based blends. Another favorite of mine is the popular Early Morning Pipe, but it's an English blend. regarding the smell factor, as long as you're not smoking an aromatic, the smell is really up to you. aromatic blends tend to smell somewhat better, but again, it's up to you to decide what you like. 4) The nicotine hit is different in pipes. Because you don't inhale the smoke, and I hope you don't, the nicotine is soaked from your cheeks to your body, so the nicotine hit is different from a cigarette. more on that I can not say because I don't know much about the topic. 5) I get that the Captain Black brand is more appealing to you price-wise, but I suggest investing money in some bigger name blends such as those listed above. I hope you have a pleasant smoke! plz, keep me updated.
