What a privilege to get the opportunity to visit Bangladeshi silent weddings. Where you get free food, lots of love and attention, and a beautifully designed tent with no music. Luckily I had great people around me and I enjoyed every second. Here are the best parts!

@@tanveerhasan2025 actually i don't know if it is walima ceremony (reception)? or is it the bride's house ceremony? in Islam creating a pressure on bride's family to invite groom's family and relatives is forbidden. if it's bride's house then it's half sunnati. if it is a walima ceremony (groom's house ceremony) then it's ok. because the actual Islamic system of marriage is groom is responsible for inviting people if he is able to do it. music is forbidden in Islam. sorry I'm weak in English.

1. In wedding people who are invited only, they come. Either single or with family memvers. 2. People invited give some gifts as their ability. Normally crockery items, furniture, elevtrical house hold items, gold jwellwry, etc. Some rare cases money. 3. Food arranged by the bride's family, in marriage ceremony. There may have another feast normally the next day where the fest is arranged by the grooms family. Food is free for the invitees. 4. Hand washing on plates: Normally the event management party worker washes the plates but it may not washed properly. So people want to wash it again on table. Wash basin not easy for rural functions.

in bangladesh every area had there different culture and the weddings are also done differently in dhaka you should try a wedding that will be really good experience for you but you thought that was a silent but its not the wedding fest was silent but the wedding party was held one or two days before the wedding in that people enjoy dance and do an program called( Holud ) its a tradition in bangladesh and that man told you about to give rice , meat, butter etc is not like that you get confused he told you about the food you have in the weeding normally people give gifts like the thing that bride or groom needed in there new family to us like ( tv , microwave or kitchen accessories ect) and also give money to the wedding and that money part is like who get the invitation he or she will give the money to the person who gives the invitation if you invited alone you will go alone if you invited with family you can go with your family. i hope it will help you to know the concept properly . love from bangladesh.

It was a nice wedding ceremony. Thanks for sharing your experience with us. Yes, we Bengalis know how to treat a foreigner & specially when he is so much hungry ;) Everyone was washing their hands on your plate? NO NO NO. You took that wrongly. They were just overwhelmed and nervous to make you happy as a foreign guest. They were trying to wash your plate instead and while doing so, they also washed their own hands on your plate But you should have washed it again afterwards. That would be perfect. I would do that if I was in your position. Another point is, people do not gift Rice, Oil, Butter or Cooking materials to the owner of the wedding ceremony. that was a wrong information given by the nervous locals who understand less English & you misunderstood what they actually meant. Actually, people gifts Sarees, Gold Ornaments, Silver Ornaments, LED Televisions, Refrigerators & Furnitures. Few of us also gifts only Money, like 500/-, 1000/-, 2000/- and may be 5000/- taka. I hope, my explanations are helpful to understand the Bangladeshi culture a bit further. Takecare and goodbye brother. Extra information. In Islamic world, greetings are meant for praying for each other to Allah the Almighty. So, please kindly pray for us accurately and that would be very kind of you. I am saying to you, "Ass Salamu Alaikum Oa Rahmatullah Oa Barakatuhu". You must say in reply, "Wa Laikum Ass Salam Oa Rahmatullah Oa Barakatuhu".

2:12 Brother, You have misunderstood, meat and rice are not presented, the man says that meat and rice are served to the guests. He says gift giving is not compulsory in Bangladeshi wedding . However, many people gift the newlyweds with money and kookery items for their new life. But it is not mandatory .

15:37 I'm actually surprised that man listened to you and didn't give more food😂 I live abroad, and whenever I go to Bangladesh, our relatives stack our plates with food, no matter how many times we deny (not that I'm complaining) 😌

They couldn't understand, what you were asking about the Gifts/Presents. They thought you were asking about the food menu. As a gift, can give anything- money, furniture, jewelry or anything.

1. Some people take gifts/money as a gesture some don't. 2. Even though the workers wash the plate, we still wash them by hand because sometimes the workers don't do it properly. it became a habit. 3. We don't mind drinking in the same mug as long as we are friends or family. It's a part of our culture.😝 . and fuck the covid. people even share 1 cigarette with 4 people! davut , you are a nice human being. I saw most of your videos. U have faced some issues bcz of the language barriers thats it. my suggestion is that please try to talk and take direction, and suggestions from young educated people. You can mark them by their dress up. if u ever come to Dhaka again please contact me. I will be more than happy to show u around.
