Sorry for your loss and for the impolite reply that I decided to ignore to avoid a long-winded counterpoint. Your reminder is very helpful as we should always have jack stands when jacking a car, but I do want to point out that no one in this video is underneath the car or otherwise in any obvious danger if the jack were to fail. An arm does seem to go under the front to give a camera view of the front links, but even then a jack failure would cause the front end to rise, not fall. It's still good to remind people that jack stands are life-saving equipment, however. Jacks can fail or slip at any moment.

I have over 200 000km on my Model 3 Performance, I have a lot of experience on sliding and track mode. I would've never have tried to drift that corner without winter conditions. I really hope that Jordan didn’t just wait until Kyle showed up to tell him that he drove beyond his talent and wrecked his $130k car. I would be a little upset about someone hooning my car and crashing it, I’d be much, much more upset if they just waited until I showed up to pick it up before they told me. In a street car with 1020 hp, turning off the stability control shouldn’t even be an option, and this is exactly why. As others have said, don’t ever, ever work on a car supported just by a jack. Like, ever. Even if you don’t get under the car. Jacks are for lifting things, not supporting them. The impact probably wasn’t that hard. Suspension components are designed to break under impact for crash safety. I’ve seen so many vehicles that have slid into curbs and they all break the same things. I hope you’ll also document your experience ordering (and waiting for) Tesla parts and repairs. That is a major issue for Tesla that very few people seem to talk about.

My guess is $10,000 and six months. I got rear-ended last year in my Model 3 and went through the Tesla collision center in Denver. Great guys and did a very good job but took three (3!) months and $8,000 (covered by the offender's insurance). Of course my $800/month loan payments and non-use of the car were not covered. The offender's insurance offered me a 10 year old ICE car as a substitute...I refused.

Do a joint video with Rich Rebuilds and electrified garage once you find out the insane repair bill from Tesla.

When it rains, it pours. That sucks. Hoping for some speedy, good-quality repairs all around.

LOLOL!!! exposes something I always thought... these cars are so heavy, when the full weight of the car hit those tires, all the internal structure holding the tires completely caved... a regular car would have bounced around more...

Kyle needs to visit an old gypsy woman and buy some curse protection amulet. Or something.

Sorry for this being in the wrong video, but I have a suggestion for the hogback driver assistance challenge which is to also measure the repeatability of the driver assistance systems. I did some experiments with autopilot by driving the same route multiple times with the same settings. I would then line up the time on the videos and do a pixel by pixel subtraction in premiere pro. It was quite interesting to see what was and was not repeatable on the same stretch of road (it let me see that most of the time, the car seems to take the same route down to about 2 inches for my test road). Also, I think track mode logs the steering wheel rotation angle as well as other data which could let you know more of what happened.

Did Jordan get an unsafe driving ticket for that crash that is memorialized on KZbin?

A truck guy that can drive? Strange. I personally can't stand flexy pickup trucks...cybertruck will be my first pickup truck ever...and that's because it's NOTHING like a regular pickup.

So how did you drive home with this wreck let alone park it? So somehow this was barely held together and allowed rough steering?

Jordan, you have an awesome boss there in Kyle! Imagine if you were telling your dad what happened because you were on Track Mode while driving on the streets?
