i know this is from a year ago, but you are the only person i have found that has done this. i’ve had a thought since i started the game that i wanted to turn the entire meadow into an orchard/garden area but never had the inspiration or motivation to do so. yours gave me both, and turned out beautiful!! subscribed. thank you for the video!

Haha, to be honest, I just live on that limit. I'm permanently hanging around 2800-3000. I'll make a video on a biome and then dial it back by removing a few items. Dazzle Beach has my largest budget right now and once that video comes out I'll probably shave off 100-200 small detail items. I can always replace them if the limit is increased considering I have footage of what goes where!

Thank you Bailey! You can order duplicates of any item you have from Scrooge if you talk to him! Up to 25 items every day can be ordered! I hope that helps!

I’m just now deeply getting into this game & I’ve been trying to figure out how to design a garden and this is just perfect! I do have a question though, I have read that planting the crops in the biome you bought them is the best way, but inconvenient since it’s not all in one place. Have you noticed a truly noticeable difference when planting the crops in their non-native biomes? Sorry if this is a dumb question. I just have been careful and planting them all over 😂

It's not a dumb question at all! It's reasonable! So yeah, you do get a decrease in growing time by planting in the native biome. (A little green up arrow will appear when selecting the crop to plant!) That said, I only harvest my pumpkins once a day at most. No matter what biome they're in, they'll be fully grown one day later. 😁

I'm on PC too! I know EXACTLY what you mean! Using the keys "WASD" makes if impossible! You just run everywhere. So, what I do is plug in an Xbox controller and use that. I only use mouse and key when decorating!

Haha well you see... about that limit... 😅 Truth is, I don't. I still haven't decorated the Sunlit Plateau or The Forgotten Lands due to constantly battling the limit. I'm going to have to downgrade my Meadow and Dazzle Beach a bit. (Dazzle Beach has an even bigger budget than the meadow! I just can't cut it back until I film and edit the tour!)

I decided to go a different route and focus on drawn out, lengthy builds followed by extrenely thurough tours and walk throughs! Always 😅 I still have the Sunlit Plateau and the Forgotten Lands to decorate! My budget for Dazzle Beach is even higher than the meadow! Once I finish filming and editing the Dazzle Beach tour I will probably be forced to cut both biomes back to continue the series 🙃

There are open spots within the garden for flowers & Basil to grow, so I still pick them regularly. Limiting the spaces means I'll always know exactly where to find it. If you ever come by on Twitch, I'll show you where it is! Also, thanks! 😁

How do you keep it all under the 3000 item limit? Are your other biomes empty?

I get asked about the item limit a lot. If you come by my Twitch channel, I can explain it in detail and show you some tricks. This meadow and Plaza aren't even close to 3000, though 😅 Fun fact, paths, and fencing do NOT count towards the limit! I'm guessing you were unaware of that! My Plaza, Meadow, Dazzle Beach, Forest of Valor, Frosted Heights, and Forgotten Lands are all decorated! I have yet to decorate the Sunlit Plateu and the Glade of Trust. So, only two are incomplete. After making a video of a biome, I can go through and remove a handful of "small detail" items like candles, lilly pads, and other single square objects to shave off 100-200. Considering I have video footage, if the item limit is increased, I can return those small items to their original position.😁
